Beirut — Restaurant in Milan

Bar waiter was very rude, as i first entered the restaurant, i asked for a table and he said it was full, my sister came in and asked him if their phone call service was working and he said yes, my sister showed him that she has been calling since 6pm and got no answer (it was 9pm), he insisted that it was working even after my sister tried to call right in-front of him and he was getting no call, he was very arrogant about it. Shortly after, i asked if i could get take away and he said yes, my father asked a simple question, “is it halal” and he answered “yes”. My father replied, “ what do you mean by halal”, as many different people perceive it in different ways for instance, “no pork= halal”, or “the meat being slaughtered in a halal manor”, the waiter started mocking my dad infront of us to the other waiter and had an outrageous attitude. A great little restaurant if you're after simple yet delicious food. Staff were very accommodating considering I didn't make a reservation. We were proved a table as long as we were done within an hour. Traditional Lebanese food freshly made and prepared. Just a short walk from the Ludi train station (yellow line). 4 starts as there was a bit of a wait between the salad and the chicken skewers (25 minutes) I would suggest you ask for all the food to be served as when it's ready..other than that a great little...

E' veramente un peccato quando un ristorante che cucina cibo buono si perde poi su cose che dovrebbero essere facilmente risolvibili, tipo il servizio. Ripeto, il cibo è molto buono, ma il servizio decisamente non da ristorante. L'ambiente è un po' scarno e non particolarmente attraente, ma su quello si può anche sorvolare. Quello su cui non si può sorvolare è il fatto che i tavoli sono letteralmente appiccicati, per cui ci si trova a sentire ed essere sentiti da tutti i vicini di tavolo, una sorta di cena collettiva. Se poi il cameriere ci mette del suo e stipa tutti su quattro tavoli attaccati quando mezzo ristorante è vuoto, e quando chiedi di spostarti ti dice di no perchè i tavoli da 4 sono appunto da 4, direi che è evidente che una minima idea di cosa sia il servizio al cliente e del fatto che occorre fare un minimo sforzo per venire incontro ai clienti non c'è. La ciliegina sulla torta è stata poi la richiesta di chiudere immediatamente la porta d'ingresso (stavo indugiando sulla soglia perchè stavo finendo una telefonata) altrimenti entrano le zanzare! Allora, se questo genere di trattamento arriva dall'osteriaccia o dalla pizzeria di quartiere ci può stare, ma visto che questo è chiaramente un ristorante per coppie o piccoli gruppi direi che proprio non ci siamo.
