Norman Trattoria della tradizione milanese — Restaurant in Milan

Thanks to our taxi driver, we stumbled upon an amazing gem in Milan called Norman! This is hands down one of the best places to experience authentic Italian and Milanese cuisine. The vibe was absolutely perfect, the staff were incredibly friendly, and to top it off, everyone spoke English—a huge bonus for us as tourists.

The highlight of the experience was Andrea, the owner. He went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt comfortable, checking in with everyone each time he passed by. His warmth and attention to detail truly elevated the experience.

As for the food, it was simply outstanding and catered perfectly to our taste buds. We were a large group and ended up ordering almost everything on the menu, as we couldn’t resist coming back for dinner on consecutive nights!

The single greatest restaurant experience we enjoy during this trip to Milan. The manager was wonderfully accommodation after some confusion with the third-party reservation service. The wine recommendation was spot-on and the wine was delicious. The lamb shoulder risotto was the best risotto we have ever had. The arancini is fantastic and the bread is made from their leftover, homemade bread, which is also delicious. And to top it all off, the pork “Elephant Ear” was huge and phenomenal. Pranzo in famiglia, antipasti di salumi e bruschette molto buoni, di ottima qualità, peccato per la bruschetta al pomodoro che aveva un po troppo origano; primi piatti ravioli di pasta fresca ripieni di zucca di ottima qualità, casoncelli alla bergamasca molto buoni, anche questi di pasta fresca, tartare di angus molto buona, tagliata do manzo al rosmarino molto.profumata e saporita; ottimo servizio, camerieri presenti ma non invadenti, veloci nel servire le portate; prezzo molto buono; locale carino, arredamento rustico della tradizione con sedie classiche anni 70, pentolame in rame sulle pareti e mobilia molto elegante anch'essa anni 70; rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo; complimenti allo staff e al titolare per la cortesia e disponibilità nei nostri confronti.

Dopo un anno siamo tornati in questo ristorante perché ci eravamo trovati molto bene; abbiamo trovato la stessa qualità degli ingredienti ma il gusto molto migliorato, cosa che già era molto buono; gli antipasti salumi eccellenti, molto saporiti e gustosi di alta qualità, le bruschette, che l'anno scorso non mi avevano entusiasmato, questa volta erano superbe, molto molto gustose e saporite, ogni sapore esaltava ed erano bilanciate ottimamente; come primi piatti risotto alla milanese ben eseguito, all'onda, buono e cremoso anche quando si è raffreddato; spaghetti vongole e bottarga anch'essi di alta qualità sapori ben distinguibili con una eccellente cremositá; entrecote buona e cotta perfettamente e servita con salse di accompagnamento; ossobuco con riso magistrale, cotoletta alla milanese eseguita alla perfezione.
