I am a born and bred New Yorker, grew up on early Chinese food in the 60s Suzy Wong on Lexington and 85th Street. We often made the pilgrimage to China town in NY and always veered away from going into places frequented by non Asians. So I feel I am a good evaluator of good Asian food. Bakok kills it as they say!! I had been eating my way through Milan for 8 days and I really had a hankering for dumplings. I was staying in the Brera and decided to walk to China Town in Milan. I was shocked at how beautiful the streets were and the shops. Beautifully decorated. I happened on Bakok looking for another ace and it’s divine! The dumplings all hand made and such works of art!!!! A very different Chinese restaurant compared to the ones we are used to find in via Paolo Sarpi. The environment is nice and particular. Excellent choice of different types of ravioli and their different cooking methods: grilled, cooked and steamed, not to mention the fabulous soups, where we also tried a ramen. Even the choreography of the dishes considers a beautiful presentation. The punctual and fast staff put us at ease immediately. In a beautiful setting for a Chinese restaurant, I also recommend it for a romantic date. The bill? € 60 for two for lunch, eating 8 courses and sipping green tea. I would say...

I will say, eating nearly the entire menu, I had zero allergic reactions which means the cross-contamination in the kitchen is near zero as numerous shrimp-dishes were fragrantly making their way through the restaurant and past our table. Overall, for my family of five, we loved all the dishes. I came here two years ago and was blown away. I did not leave a review. Here I am two years later. Bokok has remained magnificent and I proclaim to any tourist or local with a taste for their cuisine; this location is absolutely splendid. I am not a food critic. I am a person who enjoys flavor, atmosphere, and service. This location topped...
