Gold Bao — Restaurant in Milan

Placed a takeout order at 1:59 and didn’t get my food until 2:32. Not even during the lunch rush, but somehow I was left waiting over 30 minutes. When I asked after 15 minutes, I was told it was ready soon, but I understood Chinese and they had actually forgotten my order. I then just stood there for another 15+ minutes watching other people get served before me.

When the food finally came out, there wasn’t even a simple apology. The bao is pre made so it was just one simple dish to cook, and I heard other people ordering it too. The dish itself was mediocre, clearly thrown together in a rush, lacking flavor as well. With so many great spots in Chinatown that serve good food and treat customers better, this place isn’t...

Visited Gold Bao, a Chinese restaurant located in the Chinatown of Milan. Just after arriving in Milan, we were already craving some Asian food after quite a lot of pasta.

We tried the Pollo Fritto, which is white rice served with fried chicken fillet and soy sauce. We also had Riso Saltato Gamberi, which is fried rice with shrimp, egg, zucchini, and carrot. Both dishes were good—simple, tasty, and just fine to satisfy the craving.

L'estate ha portato in Sarpi una nuova interessante apertura. Un pò streetfood, un pò ristorante, con la cucina a vista. Sto parlando di @goldbao_milano , che dopo l'apertura in Cina si espande anche qui in Italia grazie a @mymilanofood e alla sua splendida famiglia! ~ Spiccano ovviamente i bao alla piastra, che diventano gold perchè serviti non appena la crosticina diventa bella dorata. Io ve li consiglio da mangiare accompagnati dal loro succo di prunga! ~ Ovviamente non mancano i ravioli, anche al vapore, i noodles, il riso "coperto" , il riso saltato , gamberi e come "contorni" arachidi bollite e le frittelle di pane. ~ Ho gradito più di tutto i bao alla piastra con il manzo e il riso saltato, sempre con il manzo.
