d'amare — Restaurant in Milan

Walking into the restaurant an aroma of burning wood from the pizza oven fills the air. My appetite was immediately prepared for the food to come.

I was in the mood for pizza. With many choices I settled on the pizza of the day. A large white pizza (no tomato) with sausage, greens, smoked cheese and a little heat. The dough was chewy, in a good way, and charred in the right spots.

The service was wonderful and sincere. I wish I could’ve tried more but it’ll have to wait until I come back to Milan. Or….maybe I’ll be back...

We were welcomed really warmly and got a nice seat. It was rally cozy and clean. The prices were really good. For starters we had the focaccia with tomatoes, anchovies and stracciatella, it was quite nice. The pastas were good but I wish I had tried the pizzas since they seemed even better. What an awesome little gem, just a short walk from Bolivar station this little italian eatery is pure class! The place is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is intimate and the food ..... balisimo! Try the meat balls, some of the best iv ever had and the pizzas, how they should be, tasty and with quality ingrediant's.
