This is the restaurant where I had one of the best and most authentic Chinese mals in continental Europe AND I could find several vegetarian/vegetarianizable (probably even vegan) options that they did super nicely.
Since I am super excited about this I am sharing them. I am stating the English names on the menu. Some are not super descriptive or inspiring, so look at the corresponding pictures in the menu to get a better idea of the dish.
These ones I tried and loved: • Ma la xiang guo 麻辣香锅 - this item is maybe my favorite but not on the menu, so try to pronounce it or show them the chinese characters AND tell them to do it without meat, fish, fishsauce, oystersauce etc. • Stir fried eggplant in yuxiang sauce (tell them to do it without fishsauce or oystersauce) • Stir fried spicy tofu (ma po tofu) - tell them to do it without meat • Stir fried hot green beans • Stir fried chinese spinach
These ones I didn’t try, but they look promising: • Cold potato noodles • Spicy and sour shredded potatoes • Hot and sour cucumber • Chinese cabbage and tofu soup • Fried sesame balls with red bean paste (dessert) • Boild beef in sichuan hot sauce (ask them to do it with tofu instead of beef)
Several other vegetarian/vegetable dishes are on the menu. I didn’t order them because I wanted vegan and Sichuan style food.
I would recommend to combine a heavier/strongly spiced dish with a lighter dish and rice and maybe a cold...
Read moreOur only Chinese meal during 10 days in Italy and it was so bad. No one smile at the restaurant, today's weather is bit warmer we asked if they could turn on the AC, the lady gave us a ridiculous excuse that not everyone could stand cool air especially elderly who have spine problem? And then she pointed at a maybe mid 50's Asian lady dining alone across our table. (Omg) then the "little boss" 小老闆 stepped out, we asked him again if he could turn on the AC, he say nope he couldn't because it's been too long the AC has not been turning on so they're doing some maintenance at the back? 🤨🤔 We started to sweat before the foods arrive, the same lady offered us to move to the window seat which was bit better.
We ordered typical Chong Qing dishes and one of the reasons why we decided to try this place was because of the pork tripes soup posted by other reviewer. I think my lousy cooking skill can make a better instant soup then Impressione Chongqing. The pork tripes were sliced into toothpick size.
After all it didn't leave us a good impression. We had to towel ourselves down after the...
Read moreI’m from Hong Kong and 100% Chinese and I have traveled to quite a lot of places and I have to say this place is probably the best Chinese restaurant that I’ve ever dined at overseas!
The two of us ordered their spicy fish, pork stomach (cold appetizer dish), stir fried shredded sour potatoes, and a cold noodle. They were all pretty good but we were stunned by the pork stomach which is better than what we usually have in Hong Kong/ China. It has slight Chinese baijiu (alcohol) flavor which tasted great! The fish was also boneless and tender and not too spicy for us. Pricing is also very reasonable - €41 for 2 person for what we ordered.
The young waiter with glasses was super attentive and nice and polite帶眼鏡小哥很有禮貌服務又快又好!Their bathroom is also clean and spacious.
I would recommend this place to everyone who wants authentic...
