La ricetta — Restaurant in Milan

If you are reading that the restaurant was empty and you will be refused, this is because the entirely local population who actually eats here came later with reservations. The restaurant was empty when we arrived for our reservation, but within half an hour, the patio was packed with locals. The prices are amazing when you factor in the quality of the food. Everything we ate was super tasty, and the service was friendly and helpful. I was craving Milanese risotto, and it was delicious. The carbonara was really really delicious as well. I have no idea why there are negative and somewhat racist reviews, but this restaurant is worth a stop for a very beautiful and affordable meal on a lovely tree lined street. Don't be fooled by the lack of crowds, just call and ask for a reservation, and wait to be immersed in a place that is clearly a local favorite. This is the best Milan restautant where we ate and the quality/price ratio is the best. All dishes that we tried are delicious. We discovered the place by mistake and since we returned many times and we were never disappointed. I especially like the risotto and the fish dishes, but all are tasty! This is a great little restaurant - have been going here with my family for years. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced too. The filetto a pepe verde - filet steak with green peppercorns is very good. I often have gorgonzola gnocchi and the fish dishes.
