Lo Zenzero — Restaurant in Milan

Nice restaurant, get there early or make reservations…food was good and so were their selections of wine, my disappointment was at the end of our meal we were offered an after dinner digestivè drink, like a mirto, limoncello or grappa…we consistently & repetitively declined the offer. Waiter continued to insist & the next thing we knew we were poured a couple of shots of grappa, which we didn’t want, and told him that; then the billed came & we were charged 7€ for each for something we didn’t order. Take a moment to listen to your customers & don’t oversell yourselves. I stay in this area weekly for business & because of this situation this wouldn’t be a place I could highly recommend..we all like a calm dinner without rush or oversell, recommendations always welcomed, but when an entire table says ‘no’ please take the time to pay attention. We aren’t tourists, and this isn’t a tourist area, locals & business people will come here to have a nice dinner. So disappointed . They could have cared less to wait on us . They had a party of 30 and sat us right next to them and the restaurant was empty . It did fill up but service so slow we had to ask for just about everything and didn’t get a speedy response. They waited on other tables with care .I guess we were not high profile people so our request for addition wine ,water ect.. was not granted . Food was below average. Service also below average. They forgot about our drinks. However, the biggest disappointment was when it came to payment. We got charged for an additional bottle of water we didn’t order. And then they charged us 20 EUR for two Crodinos, 32 EUR for a small baby meal (fish with penne pasta), 8 EUR for a few berries we asked for our baby, etc. They basically charged an extortionate amount for every little thing.
