The flavors were vibrant and rich, showcasing the culinary expertise of the talented chefs. every bite was a celebration of Filipino gastronomy. One standout dish that I can't stop raving about is the bagnet, the pork dish that was succulent, crispy, and packed with incredible flavors. The meat was incredibly tender, and the skin was perfectly crispy, making it a truly memorable culinary experience. The tokwat baboy, a dish mixed with tofu en pork meat, was another highlight, with crispy tofu texture and the perfect balance of flavors specialty with their homemade sauce. Truely Filipino flavours that are levelled up. The staff at Mabuhay Restaurant deserve special praise for their exceptional service.    Read moreWhile visiting Milan, my wife and I got hungry and we crossed that rubicon of 3:00 pm (in the States, restaurants rarely close for afternoon breaks) where one second guesses, if he or she should go inside a restaurant and be given the âlook.â These guys didnât give me any looksâactually, the head chef came out and told us to take our time and eat. The crew is also about to take their 3:30 break, and if we donât mind, they might dine around us. These guys are cool people. The food is sublimely amazing. There are some many subtle details and techniques that these chefs implemented in their food, that it is shocking to taste food that I have eaten my whole life to taste so differently. Tokwat Baboy: a street food staple was prepared with a little more char than Iâm used to and a lot less fat, the result? A better tasting experience because the fat doesnât overwhelm you. The tofu was also dehydrated so that it complements the crunchiness of the meat. There are other non Filipino food in the menu, and before you judge why? try it, theyâre really good. The dessert that we tried was an ube float. Never heard of it? Me neither. My goodness, itâs a recreated version of ube halaya. The server told us to try it and Iâm so glad we did. If you never had Filipino food before-try it. If youâre a Filipino who grew up on these types of foodâtry it and youâll feel that youâve eaten your childhood meals with a different set of palette. Dining here gave me a sense that Iâve been a part of something specialâan elevation of my...
