"I Sapori della Pasta" was initially a "pastificio" - a place where fresh pasta is made every day & sold to be cooked elsewhere - but then the owners Cristina & her husband Gabriele had a great idea which added a big plus to their place: the shop is still a "pastificio" but they also cook their own pasta, prepare many different sauces & serve delicious pasta dishes to customers inside their shop. You just need to get there, choose your favourite pasta - gnocchi, maccheroni, rigatoni, ravioli, etc, etc... - , then select your favourite sauce - amatriciana, carbonara, beef ragù, ragù bolognese, pesto alla genovese, pesto alla siciliana, etc, etc... - , wait maybe 5 minutes & a big pasta dish will be served to you in a friendly atmosphere. If you happen to be very hungry - like myself - you can ask for a larger serving of pasta. Furthermore, you can also ask them to prepare your favorite pasta & take it home to enjoy with your family. Mind you, the shop is not so big, so it might happen you'll have to wait to sit down & eat, but believe me the waiting will be worthwhile since their pasta is absolutely yummy! If you happen to be in Milan & if you love pasta like myself, do call at "I Sapori della Pasta" & trust me, you won't regret it & you'll call again,...
Read moreTruly a secret Michelin 1-2 star restaurant, by taste. Personally in my top 3 Italian restaurant amongst hundreds of restaurants I’ve been to in Italy.
The owners not only make and sell their pasta(sole noodles), but also offer freshly made pasta dishes. As seen in the picture I’ve posted, it’s not fancy, but it’s good. WOW. I couldn’t resist ordering a second plate and even finished everything. (despite being a person who merely eats a lot, Usually just one meal as dinner per day).
This place deserves to be known more, but I hope it doesn’t get ridiculously popular… I dont want to have to make reservations and wait in line to have pasta here. Should that happen, Im going to delete this review for my own good.
If you are reading this, just go and find out. You will be missing out if you don’t.
Most “good Italian restaurants” will serve good dishes. You may think ‘hmm this was a good meal. Maybe I would come again, maybe not.’
After I Sapori della Pasta, you should and would think ‘Wow, the pasta is really good. i will come again. Better yet, I wanna bring my family and friends here.
See how many Italian restaurants possibly impress you after trying pasta here. You’d...
Read moreMy advise - absolutely DO visit this place! You will not regret it! The owners were very friendly and warm-hearted. We felt at home. The tagliolini carbonara and rigatoni Bolognese were to die for. The concept of this place is you choose the pasta type and one out of 2-3 sauces (everything freshly made the very same day). You can eat there or order to go. My hint for all visitors - definitely try the ravioli con tartufo. They might look pricy by comparison to the other pasta types, but you will not find anything with Tartufo that tasty and great in the same price range in any restaurant / bistro anywhere. They were the best ravioli we have ever tasted. We even bought some more for the trip home. My only regret is that we didn't find this place sooner. After having visited several high-end restaurants for 100 EUR per person and some other great bistros and fast food joints in Milan, I can tell that in my view this is the best pasta you can find in the city.
P.S. Many thanks to Cristina Ostoni for the wonderful evening! Two Bulgarian folk dancers from Frankfurt are missing your cooking already! P.P.S. The tiramisu was yummy! P.P.P.S. The pesto was...
