Miscusi at Milano Centrale offers a convenient dining experience for travelers, with its fully customizable pasta options that include vegan-friendly choices. While the concept is modern and tech-driven, the execution left something to be desired during my visit. Ordering is entirely self-service via a QR code on the table, allowing you to customize your meal and pay through the app without interacting with staff. While efficient, this process felt impersonal and devoid of the warmth and hospitality you’d expect in an Italian dining experience. It also left me wondering how they keep track of whether diners have paid, as the busy atmosphere seemed chaotic, with little oversight. I opted for a vegan pasta dish, customizing it with a few toppings. The food itself was decent, but it lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. While the mushrooms were plentiful and well-cooked, other toppings, like olives and tomatoes, were meager, especially given their steep price—€4 for what amounted to a spoonful. The portion size of the pasta was adequate, but the overall dish felt uninspired and not worth the extra cost. While Miscusi’s tech-forward system might appeal to those in a rush or looking for convenience, the lack of personal interaction and the underwhelming flavor left me feeling unsatisfied. It’s a functional option if you need a quick vegan meal near Milano Centrale, but there are better places to enjoy a flavorful plant-based Italian meal elsewhere in the city.

Based on fast pasta, the concept of this restaurant chain is very straight-forward: First you pick the pasta, then the sauce. Furthermore you can add some extra toppings, such as burrata, buffalo mozarella cream, sheep ricotta, pistachio cream, basil cream, nduja (spicy pork cream), walnuts, almonds, pistacchios, pine nuts. We had Tagliatelle with Tomato (tomato and basil) as well as Trofie with Vegetarian pesto (mixed seasonal vegetables), both delicious! I was wondering about the Trofie Genovese (basil pesto with toasted pine nuts and buffalo mozzarella cream) as well, a lot of people had ordered it and it looked really, really good. Still and sparkling water are on the house, coffee is very tasty and costs only 1,- to 1,30. There’s lots of tables, outside, downstairs and on the first floor. They have some fun pasta tshirts, bags and miscellaneous items you can order online.

Saw some reviews of this place and decided to check it out. It was packed when I got there with people in the queue. Thankfully I was alone and was ushered in quite quickly. Menu was via the QR code was simple and easy to navigate. Side note, u have to order via the staff with the iPad. I was trying to order via the site in the menu. Ordered the pasta with pumpkin and seed and added cheese. Unfortunately the mushroom was sold out, which was unfortunate.. The pasta itself was great, it was fresh and cooked perfectly. It was strange that it wasn’t warm but slightly on the cool side. The sauce unfortunately was underwhelming.. it lacked the flavour.. the bread (side) that was ordered was hard and a little stale. Could tell that’s it’s been out in the open for a long while. Would’ve been better if it’s warm and soft inside. 3 star due to prompt and friendly service. May go back to try the tiramisu.

Poor service and mediocre pasta. 1. We arrived for the opening at 7:05 pm, to ensure we'd get a good spot. However, the waitstaff huddled together gossiping loudly even though the whole place was empty. It made it difficult to enjoy our time and have conversations as people were too close at neighboring tables. 2. We ordered a cold appetizer and 2 pasta dishes. They quickly brought out the appetizer, but then we waited a whole hour for the pasta!!!! Considering they served everyone who came after us, it's appalling. They didn't even ask if we wanted our dishes to be served together or not. 3. The pasta was disappointing, quite hard, and the sauce was mediocre. The only thing that was genuinely delicious was the burrata with tomatoes. I don't recommend this place. By the way, there was a sink with two faucets in the restroom, but only cold water was flowing from them. 👀

The restaurant's service is incredibly friendly, although there might be a bit of a wait before you're attended to, seated, and served your food. The portion sizes of our dishes left something to be desired for a full dinner, and unfortunately, they cooled down rather quickly. The flavors were there, but we encountered some confusion with our orders due to the QR code system, especially if you're not familiar with it or if it's your first time. To top it off, we opted for the tiramisu, which didn't quite meet our expectations, and we were further disappointed to discover that pistachio came at an extra cost- they offer us to add it without mention the extra price. Given the overall experience, we found it a bit pricey for what it offered. It's not a personal issue, but rather a concern with this fast-food Italian restaurant 🍝.

Due to the online reviews being consistently good and high at that, we assumed that the restaurant was perhaps remarkable, but to our disappointment, only the service was up to par with the reviews given, the siciliano, which was a pesto sauce spaghetti topped raw shrimp was overly seasoned with raw pistachio, which was very unpleasant halfway through the dish as it was an overwhelming mix of multiple flavors that Don’t really fit well together, on the other hand, the Lilia which was a tomato based spaghetti accompanied dense meatball was decent, not really memorable and not worth the travel for, would take this restaurant as a quick little stop if your very hungry but not go out of my way to find it despite the reviews, the price is alright considering the portions but again we were tricked by the dishonest reviews given.
