I have been to several good restaurant on this last trip to Milano. Moebius stands out with the cocktail offerings -which seems to be non-existing at many restaurants- , live music and a spectacular space. I have to say, I loved the interiors and everything within that building. The hanging upper floor reserved for fine-dining, the decoration, the bar, the olive tree… Amazing. I tried two cocktails, one at the bar and one at the table. They were both good but ı would rather take STEL over GOLCONDA anytime. The dishes I had were raw meat cruton and fried meatballs along with a beef cheek. I think I would skip on the beef cheek and order something else, only because I am not a big fan of beef cheek and there seems to be other dishes that sounds more delicious. My only complaint would be the fact that I showed up on time for myreservation and I have been asked to sit at the bar. I said, I’d rather have a table which the lady said, oh start at the bar and we will transfer you. That didn’t happen until I was asked if ı would like to order more cocktails to whom I replied “I will, once I get to my table.” And then the bartender who was very nice went to the reception and asked about it. The lady completely ignored me which is a bad etiquette for your restaurant.
Would love to get back to Möbius the next time I’m in town, the place definitely worths it. But you are as strong as your weakest and I would rather avoid your unfriendly hostess and her attitude.
I would have given a one-star for the service but that would would have been unfair as the bartender and the lady that served me all night with a...
Read moreWe went here tonight because we had read somewhere online that this bar was number 38 best bar in the world. Wow, would you be disappointed.
We sat in the bar so we could watch them make the cocktails. Most of them were premixes that just didn't to be poured into a glass. Which could mean that ANYONE untrained could be working as a bartender.
I ordered the Palo Santo which did taste of mezcal, but was quickly watered down with all the ice. When I spoke to a bartender, he said it is meant to be enjoyed with food (which I think would be a mistake, because it would just taste like water at the end).
My husband got a fluffy penicillin, which was good and had a tasty ginger foam or "cream."
We also ordered a pair of their tuna "tacos." Which you had to be two in order to get, so you basically pay double the price (14x2). Then you get two tiny "tacos." Anyone who has spent time in Mexico would have been confused, when recieving these tacos. At first I thought it was not cooked wonton wrappers with tuna. Turns out the "taco" is some sort of vegetable that is in the celery family but is more like a potato? Although it looked like a pineapple ring. Are you confused by this describition? So was I when I tasted this.
Had the menu described the potato tortilla, then I would have understood. But when you write Tuna taco, I expect a flour tortilla or a crispy tortilla, like they serve in Mexico.
So after having this very strange taco, I really don't feel that 28 euros was justified for this "one of a kind...
Read moreWonderful experience in the essence of Milan, the ambience deserves and fully explains why this place deserves world top 50, the seats were very comfortable, soft and cushioned. The lights are slightly deemed which makes perfect ambience for a bar. Food was mainly based on contemporary with northern Italian touch, We had a chance to try diverse menu with cocktails and wines. The ordered menu was delivered in 10 minutes aligning their concept “tapas”.
Service was very structured, the process is structured very efficient. Everybody seems to know what to do on their job, however, they only do their job which means every time you want something it means you have to search or wait for the specific person for example, we asked a commis or runner when she came to us to take empty plates if she could bring us more olives which never appeared til the end, i am not sure if this system can motivate them in a long term, Nevertheless, Claudio made our day with his humble service. The way he talks and explains when it comes to serve the dishes or getting an order, he showed us a total confidence. He has such an ability to keep an eye on a huge section by himself, his level of attention to the details are sophisticated, definitely a star in the Moebius Milan.
Overall experience was very satisfied, this place worths a visit when you are planning a trip to milan, close to the Milano Centrale Station, I will definitely visit again.
P.S I suggest you to do the...
