If as a non-italian you're reading this and you're wondering whether this restaurant is a good one or not then stop hesitating just walk in. This place is perfectly alright, prices are reasonable, food is great, service is friendly. If you don't read the menu don't worry. All dishes are fine and you can just order. You may even order a bit and then order some more as you go through the menu cause service is fast too. Early on in the evening ( say at7:30 or so) it may still be quite empty but that's just because people may come in as late as 9:30. It's not because the restaurant ain't good. They may only give you a table if you promise to leave by 9h30 but that ain't a problem either because they serve stuff quickly. Now there are two scathing reviews in Italian for this place. The basic tenet of those is that the food is not really Roman, but that it has been adapted to the Milanese taste. That's probably true. But that doesn't mean the food ain't good. Another critique may be that many dishes include "guanciale" which is bacon from the pork cheek, and not the belly fat. True but there is also a nice salad among the starters and I would recommend the pure di fave, which is a thick bean soup and very tasty. As a "primo" I would recommend the pasta grizia. Again, this food is probably best enjoyed in Rome itself but don't let that stop you from walking in.

I visited this restaurant by fortunate accident. I lost my travel pass and I found it back in front of this restaurant. It was crowded so I went in for lunch time. I am no Italian cuisine expert and there was no English menu, so I had to Google every dish. Staff waited patiently. I ordered Tonnarelli carbonara thinking it will be spaghetti but that dish was amazing. Serving portion was in very good in quantity and super tasty. Staff also suggested me wine. As a desert I ordered Tiramisu and god it was delicious. Overall I found prices fair enough for quality of food and copared to other big restaurants prices are reasonable.

This place has very tasty pasta. We had a different type, but both were very delicious. The thing that I didn't like was the bill because we were charged for bread and water. Watch out when you are paying because the guy at the checkout gave the receipt and automatically covered it with the card machine (if you are paying by card), so if you believe that everything is regular, you just pay, and then it is too late to complain.

I met my husband and friends from Milan that I had not seen since I had moved away, 8 years ago. So we had a great time together. The service was good and the food was ok. The reason for the 2 stars is that we got completely scammed and I would not recommend going to this place. Now I just want to warn others away. What happened was…we ordered the Antipasti Misto which has the price of 14.50 euro. Also typed out on the menu is that it serves a minimum of 4 people. Ok great we were in 4. No problem. Written in letters next to the price is “CAD”. We did not know what this meant so we did not think anything of it. Well when the bill came we were charged 58 Euro for what amounted to a bunch of stuff that we certainly would NOT have ordered individually. My question to the manager was, well if this plate serves minimum 4 people, why not have a minimum price of 58 bucks typed out instead of the illusive and deceiving 14.50. Well, I clearly knew the answer to that question. Bc then no one would order it. It was an expensive lesson that you do not have to learn the hard way. This ruined the vibes so I would definitely suggest that the menu be changed. But then I am sure they will just find another way to scam people. My Neapolitan husband joked that at least we got the real...

I was immediately drawn to this restaurant by the cozy, warm and authentic atmosphere it possesses. I was excited to try the pasta here as I was certain it would be delicious. However these imaginations were quickly crushed when the food arrived. I ordered a tomato spaghetti dish, and it was literally just that, spaghetti noodles in nothing but plain tomato sauce. It lacked any hint of flavoring, no salt, no pepper, no olive oil or oregano or basil or any other seasoning I would have imagined. It did not even come with cheese ( which was said to be there in the menu). On top of this, I had to ask for the complimentary bread basket as it was never given to me, only to be disappointed again as the bread was stale. I’m sorely disappointed and I feel both my time, appetite and money was wasted in this restaurant. In order to not waste these things completely I am taking it home and seasoning it myself so it is...
