While living in Milan I discovered this place and I fell in love on day one.

Miss Marotin is a lovely older lady who always smiled and was very friendly. I used to go to Marotin almost everyday for a Cappuccino / cappuccino shakerato, my brioche salato con prosciutto or my Tramezzino. The pastries, especially the brioche and the little cookies with raspberries on it, are excellent. For me: The best pastries in Milan.

I used to love this place, but unfortunately, it has undergone a noticeable decline. It used to have a cozy atmosphere and great vibes. However, the personnel (or at least part of it) has become uncaring and condescending, which has greatly affected the overall experience. Inizio replicando alla risposta della mia recensione che lascio di seguito. 1) la qualità si paga se c’è; 2) perché il latte macchiato non può essere montato come il cappuccino?! La cosa che cambia tra i due è la quantità di caffè ed il contenitore. Mi scusi eh, ma sono cresciuta nei bar dei miei genitori, so benissimo come si monta il latte! E non parlo di schiuma (che è solo aria). Secondo me, se si dispiace e invita a tornarla a trovare è meglio: più parla, più si capisce che la qualità è solo nelle sue idee.

Recensione: decisamente troppo costoso per quello che offre e per il modo in cui lo offre. Ho letto recensioni che lamentano le stesse cose e le risposte sono “la qualità si paga”. È vero, ma deve esserci. Un latte macchiato, un biscotto e un mignon grandi come una noce 5,60€! La cosa più assurda secondo me il prezzo del latte macchiato: più di 2 euro, neanche montato bene! Che latte usate?! Poi davvero poco professionale il personale, ho chiesto cosa ci fosse nei vari dolci e neanche loro lo sapevano.
