Pizzium - Viale Andrea Doria — Restaurant in Milan

Pizza is very good. Apetizers great. Avoid the chicken schnitzel with fries, I don't undestand how can they offer a food that is so bad. I mean, do they taste at least from time to time what they serve? If anyone in the kitchen would try just one frie, they would have to pull it down from the menu. The cashier desk's guy is so annoyed, all he does is chatting and calling on his phone outside the restaurant, so when you want to pay, you have to wait for him. He doesn't greet, or even look, he just asked "cash or card". That's the whole interaction. I don't undestand why people like him stay in a job, where they have to work with other people, which seems to annoy them most. The manager should realize, that the food is only one piece of the puzzle and they need to work on the staff. The stars are for the pizza...

Pizzium is an Italian restaurant located near the Central station of Milan. The place is quite big, it has outdoor and indoor seats, and it’s clean and well organized. I was impressed by the fastness of the service, furthermore the staff was very kind and welcoming. The food is great: I tried an insalata with farro, yellow tomatoes, olives and bread, and a pizza with mortadella and pistachio; everything was great and the ingredients fresh, as well as the portions that were quite abundant. Considering the price, I think it was a little high cause considering the fact that I took an insalata and a pizza, plus 2 zero cokes, I spent 40 Euros, which is higher than the standard pizzerias. The food was good. The staff was ok. But the person we paid in the end was the rudest man alive. We were a table of 10. Each person had a different order and he wouldn't allow us to pay separately saying he can only divide the total by 10 because he was lazy. Then he accused us that one of us didn't pay and spoke to us like we were trash. He then picked up a receipt from the floor and said that it was the 10th receipt and that we did indeed all pay. He did not apologize for his rudeness. Pizzium is a good establishment but that man needs to be taught some manners. Our total was 190 euros paid for an experience better forgotten.
