Ristorante Mamma Africa chef — Restaurant in Milan

I am currently here at the moment of writing this review to collect 3 separate dishes I ordered.

While placing my order, I asked and was told that my order will be ready in one hour. Following this information I arrived 5 minutes early and was informed my order will be ready in 10 minutes, 20 minutes later a staff member of the place comes to tell me "your food is not yet ready, you have to wait" and left before I could make any comments. Its now 25 minutes past the hour and I've still not received my order and still no update.

The food is good but the service is terrible, I've always eaten here when I visit but this time I decided to take food to a friend and this is the service I get for calling and ordering ahead.

I got my food 35 minutes after the hour after I expressed my unhappiness outloud, there was another man behind me complaining about exactly the same situation like me.

The management should plan better, train employees on customer service because this way is guaranteed to drive...

IF YOU VISIT MILAN AND YOU LIKE AFRICAN FOOD YOU MUST ENTER THIS PLACE!! Absolutely delicious!!!!! My sisters ordered the jollof and fried rice dishes but I ordered the Banga Soup with Semolina because I had never had it before ever and from the first bite - My mind was blown. Flavour beyond comparison. Delicious. I can not stress it enough. I also ordered Dibi and Plantain. Once again cooked to absolute perfection. I cleared the Banga and Semolina - it was as if I could not stop eating it. Mind blowing flavour. I have not stopped talking about it. I will fly to Italy just to eat here again!!!! The portions and prices are brilliant. The Dibi and Plantain portion was so big I had to take about 70 percent of it home after eating so much of it. Truly a treasure of Milan. Thank you for great food, exceptional service and amazing...

Summary, Amazing service. Love the effort that the bar man and kitchen lady made. I watched as they made every customer feel welcome. Depending on your order, some food might take a while (typical for African restaurants) but will be worth the wait. I will definitely return here and recommend to anyone visiting Milan looking for that taste of Africa. My fish and plantain was cooked well and I can't wait to try my jollof rice when I get back...
