Utterly horrendous. I’ve never left a review on google but this experience warrants a in-depth and unapologetic thrashing. When greeted by a series of pushy Italian waiters, it is explained how the entire menu is constituted of fresh meat and homemade pasta. What they fail to explain is that YOU are in fact the fresh meat and that you are expected to pay a €5 “coperto”for the privilege of eating overpriced frozen entrées.

To start, you will indulge in a frozen slice of lasagna and/or the blandest tasting Gnocci that will remind you of your favourite hometown Italian restaurant that always gives you the runs (my fellow North Americans know what I’m talking about).

Since you decided to order a second course, it’s time for the breaded chicken and fries. To be fair, the fries were fine (my standards for fries starts and ends with McDonalds) but my god, the chicken was inedible. Fresh? The only thing fresh about this chicken will come 24-36 hours from now. Luckily I paid €4 for some Fanta which helped me swallow my pride for having suggested to my fiancée that we eat at this establishment.

Now that I’ve gotten my €5 euros worth, here’s a tip for all you tourists to come. Save yourself an evening of pain by walking across the street to Miscusi like my fiancée told me to in the...

I recently dined at Baldassarre, and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Our waiter, Sam, was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to offer recommendations based on our preferences.

Throughout the meal, the service remained impeccable—our drinks were refilled promptly, and our courses arrived at just the right pace, allowing us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. Sam was also very accommodating when we requested adjustments to a dish and ensured that we were satisfied with every aspect of our meal.

What really stood out was the personalized touch. The manager stopped by to check in and made sure everything was to our liking, which made the experience feel even more special. Overall, the service at Baldassarre was top-notch, contributing to a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for not only great Italian food but also...

For the public good

Spaghetti uncooked, and Poor Service. Looks like that's why they don't ask you to pay a service charge. Because they have no service. I've been to several Italian places in Milan, and definitely, this was the worst. I always order the same menu at the restaurant, and tried 6 Italian restaurants while staying in Milan, the dishes taste different of course, but nowhere I had an uncooked dish. Rather visit “Osteria Italiana”, it’s just one block away. Foods is fantastic, staff is even friendly there, and you don’t have to experience rudeness.

I had to get sushi afterward.

Additionally, no one can speak proper English. It’s the 21st century guys and you are in a service business. It's not about you serving the good tasting dishes, it's about the service- this is not a competition where you only have to focus on cooking. Additionally speaking is no problem when they are kind. One will know...

The food was disappointing. We ordered two entrees—one for myself, one for my husband—and an appetizer. My meal and the appetizer were served promptly, but my poor husband sat there waiting for his dish. After a long wait, we had to ask about it, and only then did his Frutti di Mare with fries finally arrive—cold. The fried calamari and fries lacked any crispiness. When we asked for the bill, we waited another 10 minutes before flagging down a different staff member because the first server completely forgot. While the location and atmosphere are nice, the food and service leave much to be desired. I’d recommend sticking to pizza or simple pasta dishes here and leave the more complex seafood and meat options to restaurants that know how to prepare them properly.

I recently visited Baldassarre on Via Boscovich, and it was an absolute disappointment. Coming from the USVI, I was excited to experience authentic Italian cuisine, but this was a complete letdown. I ordered the tortelli panna prosciutto, a margherita pizza, and lasagna—and every dish was a disaster. The lasagna was downright terrible, the pizza was horrible, and the tortelli was bland and overcooked. To make matters worse, they charged a €6.00 “coperto,” which felt like a blatant rip-off compared to other restaurants in the area. It seemed like they were trying to exploit visitors. If you’re looking for quality food and a good experience in Milan, avoid this place. There are far better restaurants that won’t leave you regretting your choice.
