Unexpectedly one finds here an authentic Japanese experience. No sushi. No sashimi. Over here the stuff you'd find in a simple Japanese diner. See some pictures of the menu I included. So there is soba and udon ( Japanese noodle soups) and there is the pork steak with rice (tonkatsu don). There is also the unagi don which is fried eel. Ofcourse this is a somewhat delicate dish to prepare and highly dependent also on the quality and freshness of the eel involved. While what is being served is far from haute cuisine for the price you pay it's excellent. To top it off they also sell natto. Natto is fermented soy beans and traditionally in Japan this is the food you won't like. You have to be Japanese to appreciate natto. Read moreVery near Milano Central Station. Few minutes walk to get here. Greeted by friendly staff at the door who will bring you to the seating level above. Come early as this place gets crowded with lunch crowd. Staffs were all friendly and attentive. Takoyaki balls were nice with good bite. The mini udon and soba were good which comes with warm soup. Wished the soba set is served with a cold dip but it’s still nice with the warm sesame dip. The soba texture has got a nice chew to it and the tempuras were nicely fried. Karaage chicken pieces are big and were fried crisp and juicy inside. Personally love the curry tsukemen with soba here. The curry dip is really rich and flavourful. Goes really well with the soba. Slurp it up like the locals do! Very authentic Japanese...

Thus I got an onigiri to-go, and they even gave me the nori (seaweed) separately so I can have it crispy. Everything (tonkatsu + mini salmon do. + yuzu drink + dessert + two onigiris) came out to be €38, and it was way lower than what I expected.
I will go back to Milan only to...
