DO NOT GO HERE. FOOD POISONING WARNING!

Saudi/USA Non-Italian speaking tourist who was scammed! Reporting this transaction to my bank for fraud and dishonesty!!

TLDR: food quality is whatever overall and it’s pricy but iskender is a food poisoning risk and salmonella almost guaranteed!

I ordered 2 items. One was chicken kabob and one was ground beef kabob (Adana). Food came out at within a decent time because the kabobs were cooked fresh (around 15-30 minutes). Nothing wrong with the kabobs other than the very small portions and the high cost. I say the kabobs were average taste maybe 7/10. Not bad and I wouldn’t give 1 star for this. However because the portions were so small and my wife and I haven’t eaten anything all day, I asked the waiter “how much will it take if I order an iskender?” He said 5 minutes (which was a lie it took another 15-20 min more) they served us chicken iskender that was half cooked and the chicken skin parts were cold and had some feathers on it. It wasn’t one feather that made its way, no, it was on most of my plate. I had two bites and couldn’t get past the poultry smell and taste of cold chicken. I asked the waiter politely to cancel this item for both reasons (doneness and how long it took) and he said NOO BOSS NO ALLOW HE NO SPEAK ENGLISH. So when I finally talked to the Turkish boss (old man with an unhealthy physique) I wrote to him in my google translate, very politely, why I don’t want to pay for this one item. It is simply unfair that I pay for an underprepared and potentially jeopardizing dish that I took literally two bites from. I wasn’t refusing to pay for anything else I ordered - no - just the stew of Salmonella. He literally yelled at me in Turkish and basically said in simple terms that since the restaurant cooked it, it has to be paid for in the system. The worst part is that after I paid for it (cause it was getting too embarrassing for us that we are arguing so much as if we don’t have any money in front of other customers), he went to the cook in front of us and was yelling at him about “iskender this and iskender that” as if he was also not happy with the quality as well. I paid. I told him I’m disputing this to my bank. And he literally chased me down the street to fight - his waiter had to hold him back. I swear I am not making any of this up as I have no reason to write a review this long but to...

Warning against racism I was at the station around 1 o’clock, so I went to sit at this restaurant. A man working there came up to me, and I asked for a coffee. He yelled at me saying, “No coffee, only food.” I wasn’t hungry, but I ordered a pizza anyway.

I was sitting with my bags — which is natural since I was traveling — and I placed them inside so they wouldn’t disturb anyone passing by. Then he asked me rudely about my bags, and told me to remove my tote bag from the table, even though it was my personal bag. I still moved it.

When he brought the pizza, he repeated, “Miss, I told you about the bags.” I asked him what was wrong with them, but he didn’t answer and just walked away. Then, while I was still eating, he sent the waiter to bring me the bill, clearly trying to make me leave. I paid by card and continued sitting.

Later, I noticed people in front of me ordering soda, and others who came after me ordering coffee — so clearly he lied when he said there was no coffee. After a while, he sent the waiter again asking if I wanted my food wrapped “to go,” just to get rid of me.

I didn’t bother anyone, I wasn’t sitting for free — in fact, I ordered something more expensive than the others. There were also people who had been sitting before me and he didn’t say anything to them. I didn’t take anyone’s table, and I wasn’t sitting for too long.

In the end, he wrapped my pizza carelessly in foil so it got all mashed together.

He treated me this way just because I look Arab. He is a racist person. I advise everyone never to go to this...

TERRIBLE attitude and ripping off, BE AWARE AND LOOK CLOSELY AT YOUR CHECK!!!!! Just tonight, 24.of December, on Christmas Eve, we went to Saray to get something to eat. The waiter who served us was nice and professional, but then the moment to pay came. I assume the man who gave us the check was the manager, however, he was EXTREMELY RUDE to the point where we were about to make a scene. We had chicken shawarma with all the sauces that come with, one chocolate cake and one Coke Zero. When we looked at our check, we saw the "manager" (or whoever he was) charged us 2 euros for something he calls "service." I asked if that was the tip for the waiter and he said it was not, but that it was for the cutlery (?????). Okay. Coke was 3 euros, he charged us 4 euros. When we asked about that, he became angry and started raising his voice and almost ripped off the bill saying:"fine, no 2 euros!!!" The food was good but when we take into account the treatment we got, we are NEVER going back there, ever!!!! And I want to add just 10 minutes before, I overheard a European guy arguing with him also for the same reason, asking him why he needs to pay 2 extra euros and this "manager" was so rude, didn't explainf him why, basically FORCING the poor guy to pay extra 2 euros....so...

We came across this restaurant around 2 AM after a concert. While it was empty at the time, we decided to give it a try and we’re so glad we did. Unlike the neighboring place that was crowded and charged €5 just to charge a phone and €3 for Wi-Fi, this restaurant offered a warm welcome and excellent service. The owner was genuinely kind, and the food was exactly what we needed after being up for 24 hours; delicious and satisfying. We paid around €35 for everything, which was very reasonable compared to other meals we had that day. Interestingly, after we arrived, more and more people started coming in. So don’t judge a book by its cover, or maybe we just brought some good luck with us :) Highly recommended. Thank you!

As a Malaysian couple visiting Milan, we stumbled upon Saray Turkish Restaurant on our way back to the hotel at midnight, absolutely starving. We were so grateful to find out they’re open until 3am—it was a lifesaver! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was super fast. And the food? Absolutely delicious! The kebab was amazing—the meat was cut thin, soft, and perfectly cooked, making every bite so satisfying. The fries were also a standout—freshly handmade and so crispy. We loved the kebab so much that we came back again the next day just to have it again. If you’re in Milan and looking for tasty food, especially late at night, this place is a must-visit!
