Giglio Rosso — Restaurant in Milan

Despite the nice physical atmosphere, which is why I re-visited the restaurant, a member of the staff was outrageously disrespectful and discriminatory, completely ruining my view of this restaurant once and for all. During our time there, a service employee audaciously mocked our friend, a paying customer, who was just enjoying his dinner, by condescendingly imitating his movement and physical traits while laughing at him (after staring at him since we sat on the table). Completely ill-mannered, discriminatory, inappropriate, heart-breaking and outrageous. He made us feel shocked, angry and uncomfortable, ruined our evening. I used to enjoy the restaurant which is why I took my friends there, but I will not be visiting or recommending it ever again. This behaviour is absolutely disgraceful. Education and class are reflected in the way you treat others, not by where you work - it seems some staff members are only willing to treat customers with respect if they fit into their standards.

The restaurant had good reviews and was near our hotel so we thought we would have dinner there. Food was good and portions were also a good size. What I did not see until after our return to our hotel when I looked a little closer at the bill was that we were double charged for our drinks. My wife had a glass of house red and I a beer. These are professional waiters so I think it wasn’t an oversight. I will take my readers next dinner trip. Shameful. They talk about pick pockets in Milan but I never pictured them as wait staff. Yesterday evening I had dinner in this elegant restaurant with a group of friends.I was very well impressed by how the proprietor welcomed us . Very nice service, and friendly waiters. The plating is made with good taste. I had two excellent starters: Moscardini in guazzetto and Potato and leek cream with shrimp.Strongly recommended!!
