Worst. Service. Ever. Felt so unwelcome that I left very quickly. The gentleman dealing with the outside table on this day needs definitely to be friendlier. I was by myself, walked in and ask for a table outside. He looked so pissed… I sat down, a lady came to take my order saying only “good evening” then stayed quiet standing there. No sentences from her no questions, well I guess it was time for me to give her my order. I was served my dishes without a word and I was cleared without a word. As I finished this same guy making my experience very unpleasant was standing near my table ;he saw that I was done ;you would think he would’ve asked how was my meal, do I want a desert… NO nothing… I stood up because I felt so annoyed by such a poor service -while I actually wanted to have a desert…- he then goes “say table 42 at the counter”. I’m sorry I don’t speak Italian. This restaurant was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was so welcoming and friendly. A special shout out to Rocco he was so kind and friendly and he could see I was a bit uncomfortable being on my own due to business. He suggested some wonderful food suggestions and made sure to check with chef regarding the pesto (unfortunately I have a severe walnut and pecan allergy and couldn’t try it), he found a great 1/2 bottle of red and was really patient with the language barrier. Not sure if we’d agree with the high ratings at this pizzeria. Lured by the ratings, we dropped by for a late lunch but were far from impressed. The pizza, though huge with ample toppings, had a very heavy, tasteless and very rubbery base uncharacteristic of true Italian pizza, even though it was wood oven baked. My friend also correctly pointed out that the pizza was overly wet when served. All in all, a place that looked good from the outside but we do not feel that it justifies the high ratings.
