Swami Cafè — Restaurant in Milan

We wandered in here looking for a quick bite and a beer upon arriving in Milan. Being Christmas Eve afternoon many places were either closed or shutting down until dinner. The staff was so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. They had a great selection of draft beers and other drinks. The lunch menu is small, but very affordable, the portions are way bigger than expected, and the food comes out quickly. The pizza was very good, and we could eat spoonfuls of the pizza sauce, but it's thick crust pizza, which is not our favorite. I got the pork cutlet with fries. It was basic, but tasty nonetheless. Great place! Apart from the fact that it’s in a great location and easily accessible. The vibe is immaculate. The staff is very friendly and supportive, always trying to accommodate our needs. Came with a large group of friends and they were able to get us a table with no issue. Food is delicious and drinks are fantastic. Personal thanks to the braided waitress Gaia, who was such a charm, as my friends and I were on holiday, she helped us pick our drinks and even recommended some activities to do in Milan, and on top of that she is incredibly funny! Il ricordo risale ormai a tanti anni fa, un aperitivo fatto di tante cose sfiziose tipiche dei buffet milanesi a libero accesso. La penombra è sempre stata un problema, a cui però oggi se ne aggiungono altri di cui i 2 più rilevanti sono gli scontrini, doverlo chiedere con insistenza è sempre brutto, ma soprattutto la qualità sotto l'accettabile. Per avere qualcosa da mangiare con il cocktail si paga un sovrapprezzo, di 3 euro...per avere una cucchiaiata di pasta scotta, 4 tra gambi di sedano e carote ammosciati, ed erano il pezzo forte... 2 pezzi di pizza qualità scaffale supermercato a lunga conservazione....e il top lo raggiungiamo con tramezzino riempito con una fetta di uovo sodo da 2 mm di spessore e pane burro,secco con le crepe, e altra fetta di uovo sodo.... c'è un limite a tutto, il sovrapprezzo si paga volentieri, e la quantità può anche essere esigua, ma quello che si serve deve essere servibile. Ora ho capito perché era l'unico posto vuoto il venerdì sera....
