I received the worst service of my life in this restaurant. -To start, there were plenty of staff for the number of people dining, but they weren't working because they were too busy hanging out with each other. -Next some tall kid brought out the wrong drink order and spilled it all over our table and my husband fully soaking his clothes, leaving broken glass on the ground by our feet the entire time. They changed the table cloth but no one cleaned up the glass. No one apologized or offered anything to us for this other than the manager stating "It's his first day." -The food wasn't that good. My husband got fish and it tasted like nothing. Despite deboning the fish at the table, it was still full of bones. The waiter has no knowledge of the food service industry. I got pasta that looked like they took whatever random leftover noodles they had lying around in an old drawer and cooked them with a potato. I barely ate any and when the manager came to remove the plates he asked me if I liked the food I said "not really, but it's more about how weird I feel from the whole spilled drinks situation." He didn't respond then continued to chatting with the other staff, unbothered. -When we got the check, there were no items removed. When I was able to get the managers attention and explained to him how we weren't happy, he was acting like my talking to him was keeping him from hanging out with his friends. It was like I was a teacher telling a 5 year old boy that he did something wrong and his reaction was to deny. -We said we wanted to speak to the owner but he said the owner was in New York. We said get him on the phone and he wouldn't. And we said we weren't paying the anything until we talk to the owner and he walked away and said "Don't pay it, I don't care." This individual has nothing with the service industry and couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag, let alone run a restairant -Do not go here, rude and incompetent staff make this place...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Sal De Riso and chose to sit outside for a cozy coffee and dessert, and the flavors were absolutely spot on. The pastries lived up to their reputation especially the Caprese al Limone which was fresh, balanced, and simply irresistible. The coffee was perfectly crafted, making for a wonderful pairing.
However, when it came to service, we noticed a stark contrast. The three ladies who welcomed us were fantastic, warm, professional, and smiling, truly making us feel valued as guests. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the staff members—a bald gentleman—was disappointing. His attitude felt dismissive and unhelpful, which took away from the otherwise excellent atmosphere.
Despite this, Sal De Riso remains a solid spot for indulgent desserts and quality coffee. If the entire service team matched the high standards set by the welcoming staff, the experience would have...
Read moreReally charming place, promising menu, but generally unpleasant experience. The waiter is quick enough to bring you water to drink, but it takes quite some time to be able to order meals even though we visited the restaurant at the end of October far from high season. The big menu displayed in front of the restaurants states in minuscules that prices are valid only for take away. A typical tourist trap is not worth this kind of restaurant. The pizza was cold and bathed with a huge amount of olive oil. We had typical Napoletana pizzas in other restaurants on the Alfy coast and they were not like this one. Either we chose the wrong day to visit Sal De Riso Ristorante or other restaurants in Minori are much...
