La Chersenta — Restaurant in Modena

We found this place out of desperation, everything we were excited for, was closed and after half a day of walking and no intension to stop the city exploration, we needed to replenish our energy reserves. The shop owner Greater us heartedly and briefed us about how the ordering process was going to go down: small or large bread, 1,2 or 3 regional and seasional toppings from the menu, afterwatds he would prepare EVERYTHING fresh for us. Excitedly we studied all the options, composing flavour profiles in our head and gave our order. Each of use got their own choice and the owner could create one ctescentina to share for us. After waiting for around 5-10 minutes he handed us our creations, and the "classic", he had chosen for us.

In conclusion. In my opinion no wrong combinations can be made. When in doubt, let the Bossman create something in your taste, he not only has a great taste, but the experience to deliver the perfect "streetfood" snack.

Extremely rude owner, a rare find in Italy. We were with our 2-year-old daughter and wanted to feed their tigelle she was asking for. The place was empty when we came in - only one table was taken. It was a matter of 10min and we would leave the place. But as we ordered one sandwich only he refused us take two tables (each a tiny one for two people) with an argument that people would flow in and the place would get full. In a matter of ten minutes, we would be gone and even if the place had been magically crowded in ten minutes I would have taken a daughter on my lap... super rude and tactless person, but no matter how good the food could have been I am happy we this happened as we have ended up in a super pleasant place close by great hospitality as expected in Italy with...

Niente da dire sul cibo assolutamente molto buono e ingredienti di qualità! È sicuramente molto conosciuto poiché nel lungo tempo che abbiamo passato li si affacciava tantissima gente per provare a mangiarci ma essendo pieno poi non si fermava. Un consiglio che mi sento di dare al locale è di velocizzare il servizio, soprattutto di domenica sapendo di essere uno dei pochi luoghi tipici modenesi "conosciuti" aperti almeno di prendere qualche dipendente in più! Anche per poter far star tranquillo quel gentilissimo signore che era alla cassa e che prendeva le ordinazioni che ogni due per tre faceva avanti e dietro tra cassa cucina e tavoli. Per 3 crescente abbiamo aspettato più di un ora e non essendo un ristorante ma più un posto da stret food l'attesa è stata veramente moltissima. Nota negativa per quanto riguarda il prezzo delle bevande, non specificato sul menù che ti consegnano per scegliere gli ingredienti della crescenta, una bottigia piccola di vino €8 euro, prezzo non altissimo ovviamente però è più giusto sapere quanto si sta per spendere. Se tornassi a Modena darei un'altra possibilità a questo posto perché comunque il cibo ne vale quasi l'attesa magari tornando non...
