My boyfriend and I ordered the burrata, buffalina, italiana pizza, and the tiramisu. The burrata came with freshly cut tomatoes which were absolutely delicious - I devoured those tomatoes and can honestly say I have never had tomatoes that delicious before. The burrata was also great! We really liked the buffalina pizza. The sauce was so fresh and flavorful and the crust was so soft and crispy so you got the best of both worlds. The italiana was something we didn’t expect because it didn’t have any sauce on it(It was our fault we didn’t read it correctly) It had a dollop of pesto and had stracciata di bufala spread onto it. The pesto was a bit too salty for my liking but the cheese was great. I didn’t expect to like it after seeing it didn’t have sauce on it but was pleasantly surprised. Lastly, the tiramisu was by far the best tiramisu I have ever had. It was homemade and delicious. The coffee flavor was strong so if you’re not a fan of strong coffee flavor then you won’t like it. I felt like I didn’t have proper tiramisu back in the states and I’m sad I won’t get to have it once I’m back. Would highly recommend this place!! Also huge shout out to our waiter Domenico who took great care of us!!

I had the best pizza of my entire life at Al Routino in Napoli. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be special… the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between authentic Neapolitan charm and world-class sophistication. They treated me like family even though I am a tourist. The service was outstanding :: warm, attentive, and genuine without ever feeling overbearing. Every detail was handled with care, making the entire experience feel effortless yet elevated. And the pizza… simply unforgettable. The dough was light yet flavorful, the toppings perfectly balanced, and every bite felt like the pinnacle of what pizza is meant to be. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience that set a new standard for me. Al Routino is more than a restaurant, it’s a destination. The vibe, the space, the service, and the food all come together to create something truly world class. I walked away completely blown away, and I’ll be dreaming of that pizza until the day I return. Make sure to check out the upstairs and have yourself a dance in the disco ;) Authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant Where to eat pizza in Naples Italy Al Routine Napoli review World-class pizza in Naples

This place had incredible atmosphere and stellar reviews, but the food was a letdown for us. Pizza was good but couldn’t touch nearby authentically Neapolitan pizzerias. Maybe it’s because we had Sorbillo the night before but the crust here was much crunchier, maybe good for tourists but not for someone on a quest for that pillowy Neapolitan dough. The pizza fritta tasted pretty good, but it’s not the folded-and-fried street food that I was looking to sample (got that later in the trip). It’s more of a crisp dough with the toppings added on top. Salad was also a bit plain, didn’t come with a dressing or anything. But hey, there was a cool display next to the bathroom.

Service: Great for locals and tourists alike! One of the waiters speaks fluent English, Italian, and Dutch; and (some) Spanish and (some) French—which makes this such a comfortable & diverse place to experience.

What about the food?: Some of the best pizza in the area—hands down. We make pizza every Friday night and so far other places haven’t compared until we came here! They par-bake the pizza before adding whatever toppings they have on the menu. It’s crispy, airy, and filled with fresh ingredients. Best Napolis pizza in the area. And their dessert?! 🤤I have gotten tiramisu in almost every country I’ve visited and this one took the prize for best one ever! It was fluffy, creamy, and SO moist—the coffee effortlessly went down your mouth with every bite. Well balanced and delightful. My husband loved the gelato amarone he thought they were nicely caramelized and sweet! Very balanced in its thickness and creaminess.

Atmosphere: it’s giving jazzy, old school meets new school vibes and great visuals if you’re someone who likes to people watch & look at pictures on the wall! Our favorite part was seeing the dough being made right at the bar which gave it an extra touch of home made pizza.

One bite, everyone knows the rules: 10/10

Will be coming back again with family...
