Vomiting: Please avoid this place. A Dreadful Experience at Mattozzi Pizzeria: Rude Owner and Dilapidated Setting
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ Zero stars if possible
I recently had the misfortune of visiting Mattozzi Pizzeria, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped foot in the establishment, I was greeted by a shabby and dilapidated setting that was a clear sign of neglect. The ambiance was as inviting as a haunted house, with flickering lights and worn-out furniture that seemed on the verge of collapse.
However, the real horror began when I encountered the owner, whose discourtesy knew no bounds. The staff was equally menacing, with an attitude that made me feel genuinely intimidated. It was as if they took pleasure in making customers uncomfortable.
To add insult to injury, when I dared to request a simple modification to my pizza, the owner exploded with anger and refused to accommodate my request. I merely asked for the pizza to be cut into slices, a reasonable and customary practice in any pizzeria. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the owner rudely spat out that it was against their policy and threw a tantrum. It was utterly absurd and unprofessional.
Feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome, I decided to abandon the idea of eating there and requested a refund for the pizza. Even this simple act turned into a battle, with the owner begrudgingly returning my money with a sneer of contempt. The whole experience left me feeling disgusted and deeply regretful for choosing to dine at Mattozzi Pizzeria.
In conclusion, I cannot stress enough how terrible my experience was at Mattozzi Pizzeria. The shabby surroundings, along with the owner's rude behavior and the menacing demeanor of the staff, made me feel unwelcome and intimidated. It's disheartening to witness such appalling customer service in a supposedly reputable establishment. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this pizzeria at all costs, as there are far better options available few metres away that offer both quality food and respectful treatment to...

We ordered pasta with potatoes for 1st and scaloppine al limone for 2nd with a side of zucchini flowers. And got the drinks. So far so good 🤞
30 min later they gave us a piece of pizza crust (bread) to wait..? No words as to why it was taking long. The restaurant wasnt even that full
40 min and the fried zucchini flowers arrived. Which was supposed to be the side.. and they weren’t so good. Was like a bread really and they forgot to salt them. We had to ask for salt and a napkin as well
45 min and the MEAT dish comes. So where is the pasta? What pasta!? The scaloppine was quite good. Home style, rustic.
About 10-15 min later they brought the pasta after all. Which was okay but could have been better, not so creamy and not warm enough. But not bad at all either
We also asked for the bill, twice but they didn’t bring it :( So we went to pay to the desk
To make things worse they were also unfriendly. Waiters kept passing by our table hardly looking at us or giving any kind of explanation as to what happened with our order
On the upside when we complained at the payment table the owner/boss did offer a an apology and offered a limoncello which we accepted as we were going for a drink anyway. At last a guy that makes sense!!
So a MELONcello was brought and a piece of cake too 😅 He also insisted to give us two bottles of...
Read moreAVOID at all costs, seriously. The restaurant was super filthy (literally), as the waiters regularly threw garbage on the floor, the bathrooms had no soap (soap dispensers looked like they were last refilled in 1983) and the premises were filled with flies, not joking here, just disgusting. Now to the more important part, the pizzas: The pizza funghi I ordered had canned mushrooms on it, not fresh ones, yuck, and the pizza margharita was devoid of basil, which usually is a main and very important ingredient here. The overall taste, as you might guess, was way below average. As if all of this was not enough, the service really took the cake: The main waiter insulted one of the guests in front of our eyes, because she repeatedly asked for the bill, that is the second time within 15 (!) minutes, as she just was not serviced. When it was our turn to pay, they let us wait for 15 minutes (we were the only guests at that moment), just to tell us afterwards to go to the cashier to pay there. We were so upset after this experience, that we left without saying goodbye and giving a tip (after watching other guests doing the same). No...
