We got a reservation for 20:45 on TheFork since we saw this restaurant with high ratings on Google. I've never seen my husband send back a dish before, it was very very bad. At least the reservation made the food discounted, and it was lower priced than expected because of that. Overall, I don't recommend this place.
The octopus salad, was a few flowers on the plate, with some very fishy octopus, extremely rubbery cuttlefish, and tasted like freezer ready fried shrimp (five pieces of seafood for €16). Grilled octopus is his favorite dish, as someone that generally doesn't enjoy seafood, that's a very specific taste. He described it to the manager as the worse he's ever had, and they removed it from the bill.
The bottle of pinot grigio from Elena was fine. It didn't have much body, and was a very easy drinking pinot grigio. The waiter forgot the ice bath for this white wine until we were nearly done with it, but it came out eventually. They never came back to ask if we wanted more water after we finished the first bottle.
The steak, my husband politely said was just unseasoned, and the parmesan was it's saving grace. I tried a piece and thought it was hot garbage. The fat wasn't rendered at all, and made the texture like play dough. For some reason it came out at the same time as the octopus appetizer, and not at the same time as our other main, the gnocchi. It was also placed on top of his sharing plate as if it was a charger plate, but they took my sharing plate away when the gnocchi came.
The gnocchi was OK, it wasn't bad, and it wasn't great. The bread didn't come until after the mains. We declined to stay for dessert or limoncello. For those that don't know, literally nearly every restaurant will bring you limoncello as a digestivo. It's not special.
I've never seen such behavior from a restaurant and its staff. The restaurant was nearly empty but only was taking reservations, but it was like the staff were cosplaying at ever having run a restaurant before, the entire first floor and entryway were unmanned. I hope...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dining experience at Amiro. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
We began with a seafood salad for starters, followed by pork belly and fried calamari and shrimp for the main course. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly — truly a treat for the taste buds.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, made even better by the exceptional service from our waiter, Roberto. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great evening. We ordered two cocktails, which were good overall, but had a small issue with one. Roberto immediately took care of it, replaced it, and kindly didn’t charge us for it — a generous and honest gesture.
We were also offered two glasses of prosecco on the house, along with an extra small starter (unfortunately, I can’t remember the name, but it was delicious!).
If you're looking for budget-friendly dining with delicious food, a nice atmosphere, and outstanding service, I highly recommend Amiro. Special thanks to Roberto — 5/5 for...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into AMIRO, I knew we were in for a special dining experience. The atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming — a perfect setting to enjoy a lovely dinner in Naples.
The service was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and attentive — they truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and looked after throughout the night. It’s rare to find such a seamless balance of warmth and efficiency, but AMIRO nails it.
The food itself was phenomenal. Each dish was crafted with care, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. From starters to dessert, the ingredients felt fresh and flavours were bold yet balanced — exactly what you hope for in an Italian dining experience.
It’s clear that AMIRO takes pride not only in their menu, but also in the hospitality and overall experience. A heartfelt thank you to the team for such a memorable evening — I’ll definitely be recommending this gem to anyone...
