Food - Food was absolutely fantastic. All four of us ordered different pasta dishes and they were all delicious. I highly recommend this place for their food as it couldn't have been better. Bread brought to the table with olive oil and basaltic was ok, it was all the ends of the bread which was so hard to chew we had to leave most of it.

Service - The service was not the best but they were very busy and I feel we were not given the same attention as other tables around us. One of our party members did not get their meal until the rest of us were almost finished and I had to flag down the waiter to get an update.

Atmosphere - It was a really nice spot that spilled out onto the street like most restaurants here but unfortunately for us we were given a small little table for the four of us that was at the edge of their outdoor dining area. We had cars back up to us to the point I had stand up and Vespas zipped by my back the entire meal. The table must had been a folding card table because it was a foot or so shorter than all the rest of the tables. I would not recommend this restaurant to seat anyone in the future at the table or space that we were sat at.

Overall - Food was great but server was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had which I feel led to our overall experience. We should not have taken the table that was offered because it was not suitable for any family of...

Claudio and the staff at this little gem in Napoli were absolutely incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth and attentiveness that made the evening so special. The food? Out of this world!

We started with sautéed clams—an incredible seafood dish that we could have eaten in endless amounts. For the main course, I had the rigatoni ragu with onions, which was light yet hearty, perfectly balanced in flavor. My husband went for the traditional calzone, and it was delicious beyond words! The inside was filled with an incredible mixture of cheeses that made each bite irresistible. I found myself constantly reaching for more of his plate.

To top it all off, we ended the night with a glass of limoncello and explored their fantastic wine selection. Located close to the port, it’s an ideal spot for cruise-goers. The party doesn’t start until 8 pm, but when the locals begin to join, you know you’re in the right place. By 8:30 pm on a Tuesday, the restaurant was packed with both tourists and locals.

Come hungry, because everything on the menu is worth trying! The vibe was relaxing, and it was one of those perfect evenings where you simply sit back and enjoy. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves one. You won’t go wrong with any choice here!

This version includes your updated note about the calzone’s incredible...

A Memorable Slice of Italy: My First Experience in Naples

Visiting Naples had been a lifelong dream of mine, and I finally got the chance to experience it. Naturally, my first stop was to try an authentic Margherita pizza. We found a charming little restaurant and eagerly ordered. The pizza arrived, looking absolutely perfect, and we couldn't wait to dig in.

Just as we took our first bite, a man—Francesco—came rushing over, gesturing wildly in that wonderfully expressive Italian way. He was practically shouting for us to stop eating. We were caught off guard, unsure of what we had done wrong. Francesco, however, quickly composed himself, smiled warmly, and asked if it was our first time eating pizza in Italy. We sheepishly nodded yes.

Francesco then did something I'll never forget. He gently poured olive oil over our pizza, smiled, and said in the most sincere tone, "My good friend, you don’t eat pizza in Naples without pouring olive oil on it!"

It was such a small gesture, but it made the experience unforgettable. So, if you ever find yourself in this fantastic restaurant, be sure to wait for Francesco to bring the olive oil—trust me, you don’t want to miss out!

Everything about this place was incredible: the food, the atmosphere, and especially Francesco. I can confidently say it was the best meal I've...

Probably the best meal we had in Italy, and not sure it’s particularly close. Seemingly just a trattoria in a random alleyway but it is absolutely spectacular. The caprese salad was mind blowing- honestly I had no idea mozzarella could taste so meaty and flavourful and the tomatoes were unbelievably fresh and sweet. It puts all other caprese salads I’ve ever had to shame. The seafood crudo was superb- the shrimp and langoustines were incredibly fresh and savoury. The only small complaint would be that they overdid the rock salt on the plate and it was hard to avoid eating a chunk of salt with the salmon or tuna tartare. The neopolitan pizza here was the best we’ve had- the perfect mozzarella mentioned above, wonderfully balanced tomato sauce, and an airy crust with just the right amount of chew and slight crunch without being too watery. Their ragu was also as meaty as can be and so flavourful from hours on the stove extracting every bit of flavour from the sauces and ribs within. The portion sizes are generous and the service was the friendliest we’ve had in Italy. Truly spectacular and if not for the reviews, you may have never known. I would fly back to go to this place.

I went here because they were open late at night, had other food than pizzas, was touted as a local restaurant and were supposed to have great food. Sadly, my food (which came very late) was cold and the pasta wasn't done enough. Also, nobody here knew English (although they truly tried their best to make it easy for me to order) and for some strange reason they gave me a French menu at first. One of the waitresses here tried to help me a lot as I entered and the woman who runs the place was very kind all throughout my visit (I had ordered the wrong food and she immediately did a lot to help me get my order right). Unfortunately, the waitress who had my table was very difficult to get a hold of. When I finally finished my food and asked for the check (in Italian), she acknowledged it and then didn't come with the check until 20 minutes later. So slow service (and no - she wasnt busy with other customers). Also, I ordered mineral water and they gave me the biggest bottle ever - 2L. For one person, why would you give so much water? Madness. I could of course only finish 1/4 of that bottle but had to pay for the entire bottle, which was a bit too expensive for water.

This shop is located in a great spot just up from the ports. We chose to eat here because of their reviews and they were very busy for 9pm. We waited only a few minutes to get a table for 2. We had an exceptional meal! Gnocchi and Carbonara were our choices after an opener of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto with the table bread. The opener was amazing! The gnocchi was great with the sweet red sauce from what I would guess were San Marzano tomatos. The carbonara was rich and luxurious with large chunks of prosciutto. All portions were on the larger side. We didn't get to the bottom of our bowls, but using the last fiew pieces of bread to dip in the sauce was very yummy. We had the lemon dessert which was tart and not as sweet as it could have been, which was perfect! The cream on the side added to each bite made it perfection! Ended the meal with Lemoncello to make it a perfect night. It was a great value at less than half of what I would have paid in the States. Don't let the location scare you off. It's SO worth the wonderful meal you will have.
