I had the best experience here! I came for a coffee and was offered a lemon granita with tea by the boss, it’s apparently a Napoli specialty. I don’t understand why everyone here complains about bad service, everyone was so nice to us at the bar! Also, you need to understand that paying for a coffee at the bar vs sitting on the table are different prices in europe! If you can’t understand this then you’re going to think they have bad service but this is the norm. Augustus has really good cakes too, after all they’ve been around a long time! Chose this place for my first sfogliatelle breakfast in Naples after comparing some options. Wanted a seating place where I could get a coffee also. Typical Italian bar place where you pay your order then collect your coffee and pastries. Got one sfogliatelle, one mignon baba and an Americano for 5,40 Euro. The sfogliatelle was full of tasty filling but not warm. Coffee really good. Staff friendly but not over average welcoming. You sit outside right on the pedestrian zone and it's not a separated terrasse so expect to be passed...

I was in Naples to create a report and material for my guided tours.
