TL;DR: got scammed, owner was extremely aggressive with us and you can find much better pizza for less in Napoli. Would never go back or recommend to anyone.
For those interested to hear the full story. Myself and my group speak Italian, not fluently but enough to get by. We approached the waiter, who was very friendly and sat us down immediately. There was a table seated directly behind us, a big party of about 12-14 people. I’m not sure what happened exactly but an order for their table got messed up. An extra pizza was made. On the way back from their table the waiter stopped at our table and offered us the extra pizza. We thought yeah sure great why not! It was already made so no harm in giving it to us for free, better than throwing it in the trash or serving it cold to someone else right?!
WRONG.
We proceeded to eat the pizza, order our own, eat our meal etc. As dinner came to an end we received the bill, and on it, the pizza that the waiter offered to our table. So I tried my best to communicate with him that we shouldn’t be charged for the pizza. We didn’t order it, we didn’t ask for it, he offered it to us based on whatever mistake was made. He then proceeded to make a load of sarcastic remarks saying to me “you’re so intelligent, I will take it off your bill. My gift to you.” He then returned with who I’m perceiving is the owner. He told the owner that we were the ones who invited him to place the pizza at our table, which was a blatant lie. The owner would barely let me get a word in, he came over already so agitated and so aggressively. When we tried to explain the situation to him he wouldn’t have any of it. His word were “you ate the pizza, you have to pay for it.” A load of bull, considering we never ordered that pizza but nonetheless we agreed to pay it bc we didn’t want to argue with this extremely rude and aggressive man. To make matters WORSE, we paid our bill and were waiting for our change. The owner again approached us aggressively and was trying to kick us out saying “are you done here I need the table”. I told him we were waiting on our change and he backed off.
Even speaking with multiple locals afterwards and telling them our story they agreed what this restaurant did to us was wrong and it would never have been done to a local. He took advantage of the fact we were tourists.
The 3.5 star this restaurant has is GENEROUS all...
Read moreI took my family here on 09/09/2025 having followed the owners on instagram for a long time. I wish I’d read the Google reviews and not been fooled by the social media hype as the pictures on instagram and videos give a completely false hype that it’s a traditional, welcoming, family run business but it is not. I’d told my family about this place and we’d waited since 15:00 to come back when they opened at 18:30
We were first to arrive at 18:30 and waited as the “ovens had to heat up” which is fair enough. We got some drinks and when the pizzas did eventually arrive you can tell it’s not fresh ingredients. The spinach tasted off on my partner’s pizza and had a strange taste and my bufalina pizza I ate 1 slice only, it was that bad.
The bald waiter with glasses was extremely rude to my brother in law who had ordered a bowl of mozzarella salad as he wanted something light (which was agreed with the other waiter) but it came out on a pizza instead, when he asked the waiter with glasses what he’d ordered his response was “it’s a pizzeria what do you expect we don’t do salads and if you gonna eat, eat or don't" you’d expect any chef in Napoli to be able to knock up a fresh, mozzarella salad and not place it on a pizza base…. Eventually another waiter sorted it out.
During our meal as well there was a boy and girl sat down at the end with 2 photographers who all the staff seemed a lot more interested in serving and having photos taken with eating the pizzas and stopping customers sitting down whilst they got the “perfect” snaps. We had to ask 3 times for chilli oil.
Avoid this place, it’s a tourist trap fueled by social media, there are far better options in Napoli and...

That’s main rules!!
Being down from England and once in the Quartieri spagnoli we decided to visit this place with friends because I followed them on facebook.
What a disappointment!!
Friarelli’s pizza with precocked sausages cubes cutter…….horrendous!
No chance to have a friarelli portions in a side (no free but pay them).
Bathroom in poor and miserable conditions without toilet cover roll and toilet seat 🤨and air con in low mode😕.
Absolutely ridiculous to see that couple around the world judging other places and their own restaurant dilapidated and miserable conditions.
They offered a limoncello or meloncello has apologised but the shots glasses were so hot and the drink inside tested disgusting.
Not impressed at all and I apologise with all my friends because my expectations were high.
I’m only a customer with no competition against them but with huge disappointment in their social media advertising with no bases.
