Firstly, we fell in love with Naples. We originally intended for it to be a jump off point for Amalfi/Pompeii/Capri, but cancelled Capri. Neapolitans, we experienced, are wonderful people - warmhearted to visitors, the food is amazing and cheap, the city vibrant with “joie de vivre” not found in the more touristy spots in Italy and Europe. Full of art and culture. Though Naples can be a bit disorganized/gritty at times, but we felt safe.||The B&B is very, very well located! On via Toledo, Napoli’s main pedestrian shopping/eatery street where you can immerse yourself immediately in Neapolitan culture – eat cheap, shop, and interact! Steps away from the metro station. Walking distance to the ferries to Amalfi. Walking distance to all of the historical spots. If walking is not your thing, there’s always the metro at hand. Spaccanapoli is two metro stops + 5 minutes’ walk away.||The room we were assigned was spacious, high ceilinged, with creative décor themed on a world city (we were in the Singapore room). Beds were very comfortable. Comfortable for 4, we were 3. Very clean. Bathroom, large and well appointed. The shower had "chromatherapy" lights, which we thought was really cool. The room did not have a safe but we were assured by the owners that there was no risk to personal belongings - we took the advice. Breakfast was tasty and simple and delivered to the room: Cornetto, fruit, coffee, and juice.||And lastly, the owners (Aida and Fabrizio) and their staff were wonderful hosts. Very kind, always answering sundry/touristy questions via Whatsapp. We were welcomed with Espresso shots and traditional Neapolitan lucky charms! And, also got several ideas that enriched our experience for sure. I have to say, thanks ToledoStation for making our Napoli...

Read moreWe had a group of 7, split between two rooms, and the consensus among all of us was that we were SO sad we could only stay at Toledo Station for one night. Our short stay was absolutely amazing. Aida and Fabrizio gave us such a warm welcome with nothing but smiles and positivity. Their two sweet dogs also welcomed us with tail wags and requests for pets! Aida offered us drinks as soon as we arrived, and even had some pizza waiting for us. Once we got settled she offered to make dinner reservations for us as a nearby restaurant (which was also amazing!). The next morning she served us a delicious breakfast before we left.
The rooms were super cute and comfortable, and even had air conditioners which was great because it was pretty warm out. The bathrooms (and showers especially) were absolutely amazing. They also had some colorful light options that was a really fun touch.
Just from hearing Aida and Fabrizio tell their story about how and why they started this B&B, it is so clear that it is their pride and joy. Staying with them on our first night in Italy was such a great way to start our trip. I highly recommend staying with them, even if you only have one night in Naples...
