Cisterna Bistrot — Restaurant in Naples

Sad to say that there was nothing positive about our experience at this “bistro”.

The evening started ok. We got our starters in a reasonable time. The beef tartare was good and the vegetables platter was tasteless.

Then we waited for almost an hour for main courses. I got a risotto that can maybe be suitable for a 5 year old (€17) and my partner got a steak with potatoes and the steak was cold. When requesting to get a steak in appropriate temperature the waiter did a face and then we had to wait additional 30 minutes.

We thought of finishing the sour evening on a sweet note and ordered the tiramisu, if you can call it Tiramisu. Let’s just say that some classics should remain untouched.

You would have thought that they will take some responsibility with the bill but no, and they even have the audacity to request a service charge.

It’s a shame that we picked this joke of a bistro for our last night in Napoli. Please avoid, there are so many amazing places to eat...

Very nice atmosphere. It's quite small and cosy bistrot. The waitress was kind and quick in taking the order and serving. I think the aesthetic of the dishes is very well curated, sometimes more than the taste itself. Portions are on the small size especially considering prices. What surprised me is that we were charged 10% extra of the total for the service. When i asked what does this charge include i was told it's to preserve the bistrot as it looks like, for aperitivo (which we didn't receive anyways) and for the service in general. I felt it redundant as these are things (at least in Italy) the customer doesn't really get...

Se potessi dare meno di una stella lo farei volentieri…. Esperienza pessima, tutto è andato storto direi . Da premettere che il locale è stupendo solo quello però perché tutto il resto è assolutamente mediocre , partendo dal servizio ordiniamo ci arriva prima l antipasto poi il vino e se ti prendi 21 € per il servizio pretendo cne valga il costo , arrivano prima i secondi poi i primi peraltro sbagliati e la cameriera maleducata anziché scusarsi fa la faccia stizzita ( non solo sbagli vuoi avere anche ragione ) il mio amico che aveva ordinato i plin ( e invece gli erano arrivati le linguine sbagliato ) gli arrivano quando noi già stiamo il secondo gli arriva invece 1 ora dopo intanto sopraggiungere un altra cameriera in sostituzione della maleducata ,(evidentemente eravamo troppo educati per lei , ) La cosa peggiore però è stato il cibo senza lode e senza gloria , linguine agli scampi senza sale inodore ed insapore brutto anche l impiattamento ,il branzino idem abbinamento inappropriato il branzino dolce la zucca dolce la cicoria dura difficile da masticare ed in più gli amaretti dolci ma lo chef forse ha la calce in bocca è evidente che non non assaggia ciò che cucina e se l assaggia gli converrebbe cambiare mestiere , anche la qualità materia prima non era all ‘altezza del prezzo , anche il dolce inutile abbiamo ordinato cheesecake ci è arrivata la panna cotta. … non vedevo l ora di andare via soprattutto dopo che ho visto il prezzo 237€ in 4 per fare la fame…. Ma fortunatamente stiamo a Napoli abbiamo preso una pizza nei numerosi street food. La cosa triste purtroppo è che molti vogliono fare il gourmet ma non ne sono all ‘ altezza,quindi imparate a cucinare con amore partendo...
