Drago d'Oro — Restaurant in Naples

Unfortunately, this is the only Chinese restaurant you could find allegedly in Napoli. However, the food quality was definitely beyond my expectations.

We were welcomed with warm smile, nice introduction, and got fresh fried veggie off the menu.

There are tons of dishes we could choose from, and all of them are described with pictures and descriptions in Italian. For me, it wasn’t an issue to order since I’m Mandarin speaker, I’m certain that for anyone who has not been familiar with Mandarin will be able to order according to their needs.

We had a chitchat with the owners and they said their place is probably, at the moment, the only authentic Chinese restaurant in the whole city.

Spinti dalla curiosità di provare altri ristoranti cinesi, decidiamo di provare questo ristorante, che è molto famoso nella zona, infatti quando siano andati abbiamo dovuto aspettare circa 10 minuti per entrare.

Appena entrati il locale ci ha dato una buona impressione, pulito, profumato e ben tenuto, fatti accomodare iniziamo a vedere il menù, che è molto vasto e vario, infatti ci sono molti piatti particolari che ci incuriosivano; dopo aver deciso ordiniamo: -Involtini primavera -Gamberi fritti -Ravioli alla piastra -Ravioli di carne al vapore -Ravioli di gamberi in pasta trasparente -Ravioli di gamberi al vapore -Spaghetti fritti -Riso all'ananas -Pane fritto -Pollo alle mandorle -Nutella fritta

Dopo circa 10 minuti arrivano i primi piatti, e da qui è iniziata la delusione, gli involtini erano quasi senza sapore, si sentiva solamente l'insalata che era anche un po' amarognola, i ravioli alla piastra erano stati lasciati troppo tempo a cuocere su un solo lato e infatti un lato era di colore marrone scuro, gli altri ravioli non male, ma avevano poco sapore, gli spaghetti fritti insipidi, il pollo alle mandorle sapeva di molto poco, il sughetto era insipido e per questo il pollo sembrava bollito, pane fritto molto saporito sopratutto se lo si accompagna con i ravioli, nutella fritta che non era nient'altro che un saccotino troppo spesso, lungo nemmeno 5 cm con un po' di nutella. L'unica cosa che ci ha incuriosito e ci è piaciuta è stato il riso con l'ananas che aveva dei buoni contrasti.

Servizio simpatico e cortese, prezzi nella media, ma porzioni un po'...

Where do I start...the food isn’t that great at all...but then you do remember you are in Naples. After eating 5 straight days of pizza and pasta this still hit the spot even though it’s mediocre at best. The restaurant owners and waitress seem like very nice people.
