At the end of our 3-week holiday traveling through Italy from the US, we found ourselves craving live music and feeling a little homesick. A simple Google search for “live music near us” in Naples led us to Keste, and it turned out to be the best musical experience we’ve had not only in Italy but in our entire lives.
We arrived at Keste on a Wednesday evening around 10 pm. My musician husband immediately noticed a drum kit—the first he had seen since we arrived in Italy. The amazing wait staff greeted us warmly and promptly handed us drink menus with clear prices, contrary to some reviews claiming they were overcharged. Our drinks arrived quickly, and we instantly felt at home.
The locals, who seem to frequent this bar on Wednesday nights (which we learned is jam session night), asked if we played music. My husband, a drummer, was invited to collaborate on the drum kit—not once but multiple times throughout the night. What was meant to be a one-hour stop turned into an all-night amazing experience. The bar seemed to get even better as the night went on!
The vibe at Keste was nothing short of incredible. The music, the owner, the staff, the openness, and the overall sense of belonging made us feel right at home. If you are a musician in Naples, this is THE place to be. If you enjoy music and great people with great energy, this is THE place to visit. I can’t wait to return to Naples to visit Keste and reconnect with the wonderful people who...
Read moreWe went on July 14, 2023 and the band that was playing was awesome. Totally unexpected but they were specialized in celtic music with (piccolo, violin, harp, drums etc). We arrived at 10:30 with a group of 5, and it was packed, the waitresses were so sweet and kind and still were able to find us all seats and a table. 2 others from our party joined late, and they did the same for them. I’d highly recommend coming on a music night, the atmosphere was unreal and everyone went crazy for the band. If you’re looking for a local experience this is the place to be :) drinks were good, with a large variety and...
Read moreThis bar is been active since a long time, it almost named the little square (and actually it's taking the whole public space, inch by inch, every year apparently). To be honest, I fail to find a valid reason to recommend this place. The indoor area is pretty dark and uninteresting. The square is really crowded and messy during weekends. In my opinion drinks are also overpriced for that location, quality, service; and the restroom is usually very dirty (to be fair, that's not entirely their fault, since it's used by everyone in the square. That been said, I can't...
