Our visit to the Paleontological Museum in Naples was an extremely unpleasant experience. Despite arriving well before the official closing time, we were rudely turned away by the employee at the entrance, who brusquely informed us that the museum was about to close and would not reopen until September. The unprofessional and dismissive attitude was shocking, especially for a public institution.
Additionally, from what we could see, the museum itself seemed small, poorly maintained, and unclean. The lack of care and attention to both the facility and visitors was disheartening. It's unfortunate that what should be an educational and enjoyable experience was completely overshadowed by such poor service. They all had great collections for such small museums. To find this one, purchase your ticket at the entrance on Mezzocannone St. They will give you directions on how to go through the building complex to this museum.
