Food really not for us.There was some confusion with the tripe as we don't understand much Italian yet even with google translate and asking three times i was still served tripe though I was trying to say I am pescetarien. In the end I swapped with my partners carbonara figuring I could eat around the ham and give him the meat to prevent food waste, yet for the first time ever we left without eating. The people were pleasant and gave us a limoncello on the house but i think a new menu is needed as I've never ate something that's made...
Read moreWe were curious to try trippa for the first time and stopped at Tripperia da Franchesco O’Russ. It was a great find! Our waiter, Giuseppe, was incredibly kind and helpful. He made us feel very welcome and gave us great recommendations.
We tried the trippa with red sauce, and it had a very interesting and unique flavor. My husband loved it and finished the whole dish! We also had the fried anchovies, which were superb, and the chicken cotoletta, which was perfectly cooked. Even the bread was delicious.
For dessert, we had the baba and even tried the limoncello…the perfect way to end the meal.
All in all, it’s a cozy little spot tucked away in the streets of Naples where the food is excellent and made with care. Highly recommended!

I'll go back there in a heartbeat if I go back to Napoli. It's unpretentious, the service is basic but amiable, and the food is exactly what it pretends to be: good, authentic food. From our bellies...
