After a long day exploring Pompey we found ourselves famished and really seeking seafood. We found this wonderful restaurant on Google and thought… let’s give it a try. Wow! WOW! We were not disappointed! The owner was gracious and delightful. Our food was soooo delicious and The presentation was superb! We chose the Scialatiello Con Pesce Frutti I Mare Pompodaro del Piennolo, a lovely seafood dish. It was cooked to perfection! A lemon crème for dessert and they even personalized it♥️ Wish we could take them back to Sarasota Florida with us!!

Cena di coppia da incubo, è davvero difficile fare una recensione negativa, ma quando ci vuole… Siamo stati attirati da un cartello sulla strada che sponsorizzava un menù fissò da 20€ a testa, comprendente un antipasto, primo e secondo (un ottimo affare a prima vista). Appena ci siamo seduti il cameriere (molto gentile) ci ha sconsigliato di prendere il menù fisso, in quanto tutte le cose erano già pronte e preparate prima della serata. Quindi, abbiamo deciso a malincuore di ordinare dal menù alla carta, l’ordine è il seguente: 1. Pepata di cozze per antipasto; 2. Spaghettone alle vongole; 3. Filetto di black angus ai ferri (400g); 4. Contorno di verdure grigliate; Tralasciando le quantità non così abbondanti come scritto nelle altre recensioni, le cozze e lo spaghettone non erano poi così male (anche se…); ma la carne e il contorno era pessimo. Innanzitutto, non era una black angus da 400g ma pareva una semplice bistecca ai ferri da 100g (grossa neanche quanto una mano), il contorno è arrivato all’ultimo, quando tutte le portate erano già finite. Ci siamo alzati dal tavolo ancora affamati, io personalmente ho avuto ancora nello stomaco le cozze e il primo con le vongole. Abbiamo pagato in due 56€ che sono davvero tanti per quello che abbiamo mangiato. In altri locali, con la stessa cifra ci siamo riempiti e pure rimasti soddisfatti. Il servizio non era poi così male, il problema è che tutto veniva lasciato sul tavolo, finiva la bottiglia d’acqua e il cameriere ne portava un’altra senza togliere quella di prima, lo stesso per altri piattini del pane e così via… Classico acchiappa turisti.

Buon ristorante ma sicuramente non il migliore provato con the fork. Abbiamo ordinato 2 antipasti e 2 primi, un calice bianco e una bottiglia d'acqua. Antipasti: 1) Impepata di cozze, una bella porzione e ottima qualità. 2) tortino di polipo e patate, buono ma con limone in eccesso. Primi: 1) Spaghettoni con cozze, menta e provolone del monaco. L'idea è veramente ottima ma il risultato non ha soddisfatto le aspettative in quanto l'unico sapore che si avvertiva è il salato intenso del provolone 2) La barchetta di cui non ricordo bene il nome, che in realtà era un piatto di spaghetti con tartufi di mare, granchi e tarallo sbruciolato. Questa è stata una vera delizia. Nulla da dire. Per quanto riguarda l'ambiente era il tipico ristorante napoletano, noi abbiamo cenato all'esterno e quindi nei tavoli posizionati sul marciapiede antistante al locale. Molto attenti ai dettagli, tutti tema mare. Hanno saputo sicuramente sfruttare al meglio le loro risorse. La persona che ci serviva al tavolo veramente simpatico e disponibile, i tempi di attesa brevissimi. Prezzo totale 78, sconto the fork applicato correttamente. Terminando quindi posso sicuramente dire che non abbiamo trovato il ristorante da votazione 10/10 come le recensioni dicevano ma comunque è un buon ristorante, i piatti erano ben impiattati e le idee di abbianamenti veramente particolari ma andavano sicuramente dosate meglio le quantità, come nel caso del limone e del sale.

The young woman working in the front of the restaurant was friendly and I was relieved to talk to someone like her, so I went inside. The two older ladies who work inside clearly treat their racialized staff very differently. I was very courteous and thanked them all throughout my meal. When I finished my meal, one of the ladies demanded that I pay cash. When I walked to the counter, the other lady begrudgingly took out the card machine, and added a huge chunk to my bill for the privilege. Any white tourists get this cute treatment? We had a wonderful experience this evening! Antonio was our server and he was absolutely amazing with my teenaged son with special needs. Our Italian is very basic and he was able to speak English to help us out. He was friendly, informative and courteous. My son ordered the seafood risotto for his main course and raved about it. I had the grilled fish special and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lemon cake was soft and not too sweet, and the red velvet cake (while not “red velvet” like in North America) was moist and fruity. They were the perfect finish to our night.
