Ristorante Senti Profumo 听香 — Restaurant in Naples

As an expat from Hong Kong, I would say this is a very authentic Chinese bistro, in terms of food, environment and service. And I highly recommend this for the good food. Food is 100% Chinese taste without any western twist. Egg fried rice is top-notch even compared to those in Hong Kong, and we will definitely come back for this. Sichuan spicy chicken was excellent too but you have to deal with the chopped chicken bones (perfectly fine for us as we are native chopsticks users). All of them were served in huge potions. Service is typical Chinese or Hong Kong bistro standard so don’t expect any attentive service. It might be a bit weird to the locals here but it’s familiar to us. The waitress was not attentive but she did everything we asked for. Just do it in Chinese style by raising your hand/ voice to ask for service instead of waiting for the waitress to come. One last tip, in any Chinese restaurant you must ask for the price before ordering any seafood items. Market price can be very tricky as it fluctuates a lot. Overall we were happy to have a delicious dinner here with authentic home taste and in very affordable price....

Good: Delicious Chinese food at lower price points.

Bad: 1. Poor service. Took too long to prepare food. There were only us (2 people) and another couple and our order took more than 15 minutes. Our drinks were not even served while we were waiting. We had to ask for it. 2. People inside were smoking and owner was not implementing the "Vietato Fumare" sign that is clearly pasted on the wall. 3. We went in around 5PM on a Wednesday and it seems its the watering hole for the local Chinese folks. It got loud so don't expect to eat your food in a quiet atmosphere. 4. We think we got overcharged by 10% based on the prices on the menu but the owner did not provide a bill that shows a breakdown. Cover charge - maybe?? Not a big deal as it costs much less for much better food. 5. Cash...

Per la prima volta a Napoli, un ristorante cinese che non ha paura di essere semplicemente, autenticamente CINESE.

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo accumulato una certa esperienza in ristoranti cinesi per occidentali e ne abbiamo provati parecchi, perché abbiamo una certa passione per la cucina Cinese (attenzione, non "orientale", ma proprio Cinese). Quindi, passando per caso da quelle parti, siamo stati attirati dall'ambiente decisamente semplice del locale e ci siamo lanciati.

Con nostro immenso piacere, dentro c'erano SOLO cinesi... E lo sottolineo: SOLO CINESI. E ce n'erano abbastanza, tutti impegnati a pasteggiare alla cinese, attingendo da grandi ciotole contenenti pesce o carne in generosi brodi o intingoli. Abbiamo subito capito che si tratta di un locale Cinese concepito principalmente per Cinesi, dove si respira vera area di PRC ed i sapori sono autentici, non adattati a palati che si voglia dire occidentali. Ed i piatti che vengono serviti lo confermano.

Il menù abbonda di pietanze molto lontane da quelle che tipicamente si trovano in un tipico menù di ristorante "orientale", che pure sono presenti, va detto. Abbondano i brodi ed è possibile pasteggiare alla maniera cinese: vengono servite grandi ciotole e terrine riscaldate a fiamma contenenti brodi densi e carne o pesce, dai cui si attinge dal centro della tavola (tutti gli ospiti cinesi mangiavano in questa maniera). I piatti sono molto abbondanti (tenetene conto quando ordinate), coloratissimi e molto buoni. Rapporto qualità/prezzo estremamente competitivo...

Il servizio è spartano ed il locale è molto semplice, ma pulito e piacevole. Nonostante l'italiano qui sia palesemente una seconda lingua, non esiste una vera barriera linguistica: i proprietari sono cordiali ed è bello vedere che il tutto è a completa gestione familiare.

Invitiamo chiunque voglia lanciarsi in una vera esperienza di cucina cinese a Napoli a visitare questo ristorante: si scende a compromessi sul servizio e sulla zona in cui si trova, ma vi assicuriamo che non abbiamo trovato cinese più autentico di questo in...
