Yesterday, we paid a visit to the restaurant, which offered us a delightful evening experience. In the entrance greeted us warmly, granting us the choice of the best table available. The decor, though minimalistic, still managed to captivate us. Engaging in conversation with the head waiter/sommelier, we discovered a truly exquisite wine. It was refreshing that they didn't solely suggest the priciest options. As for the courses – we decided on a 5-course culinary expedition – they were truly remarkable. The starter encompassed a Sicilian voyage, gradually unveiling each distinctive flavor. Absolutely remarkable. The mini hamburger was tasty, allowing us to relish every single ingredient. It showcased audacity, modernity, and of course, immense delectability. Equally delightful was the rabbit ragu tortelli, followed by the succulent beef accompanied by mashed potatoes that melted in our mouths. This was succeeded by a transitional dessert, and finally, the main dessert – a rethinked cannolo. The head waiter/sommelier expertly suggested a suitable pairing for our desserts, an unfamiliar brand to us, but perfectly complementing. Contrary to another individual's claim of inattentive service, we can confidently refute that. This marked the first restaurant in Sicily where we genuinely felt attended to – a senior waiter who diligently monitored our wine glasses, elaborated on the dishes, their components, and the rationale behind them. To summarize, we can only shower accolades upon the inventive and imaginative creations of the Chef and the team. Special gratitude is extended to the head waiter/sommelier and the senior waiter for their considerate and meticulous service. Higly...
Read moreWe were a group of four and had the six course fish tasting menu. We appreciated that they offered to mix and pick dish/es from the vegetarian or meat menu. We got advice from the very competent Sommelière for a bottle of white wine from Noto dubbed “La bomba”. Three of us added a glass of red wine ( dubbed “the king”)with the lamb dish they picked. We loved the wines and appreciated the great selection of local wines offered. The food was very refined and it was interesting that between the four of us we picked different favourites. For me the tomato water that was served with a fake olive was the best opening of menu experience in a long time. An explosion of olive taste which then harmonised with the tomato water. Amazing! All dishes were refined and conveyed the Sicilian experience perfectly. Presentation was artful. Service very attentive. We loved that the head waiter asked us about favourite dishes at the end of the meal as it allowed us to revisit the experience. It’s a clear recommendation. Also, if you visit Noto, we strongly recommend to stay at Sikelia Suites which is directly opposite Ristorante Crocifisso. It was such a bonus to just cross the street from one perfect...
Read moreFrom its experience the restaurant has a high demand. The colours in the interior are perfect and the lightning of the table as well.
The Service is excellent. We got two recommendations by the Sommelier for Etna Bianco and Anne Nero dAvola. They’ve fulfilled our expectations. The Wine list contains many wines which are already sold out. This should be marked in the list to make it easier with your choice. The sparkling water comes from Nestle and I do not understand why a restaurant with such a demand doesn’t serve water from Sicily We took all the five course menu consisting of a burger, a dish of pasta with sardines, tuna and A fillet of seabass. All courses were delicious but in every course something could have been better. With the pasta I missedSome lemon, the tuna could have been medium cooked and the sea brass was cooked in the oven but not panfried. Yeah I missed the roast flavours. In general I missed the freshness and the flavours of herbs to make it better. I forgot the bread which...
