Unfortunately, the manager/head waiter spoiled the experience right at the end. When I stood up to go to the toilet and to pay, he ushered me directly to the till without knowing why I had stood up. When I returned from the toilet, the same manager had already asked my girlfriend to vacate the table. I have never encountered such unprofessionalism before. We arrived at 18:40 (before the kitchen opened), and I went to pay at 20:10, which I believe is not an unreasonable amount of time to stay. This soured the whole experience, which was unfortunate because the food was excellent—the best pistachio pasta I had in Sicily. The olive oil and wine, produced by the owner, were also very good, and the restaurant is on a beautiful street.
Unfortunately, when I constructively told the manager that we enjoyed the food but didn't appreciate his action, he was unwilling to accept the criticism. He barely looked at me and walked away, saying, "no, no, no, no, we are busy." Turning tables is important, but so is professionalism, and with just a few more minutes of patience, we would have left with a great experience and instead we left felling like our custom wasn't appreciated. He let us down, and he let his team, who did a great job,...
Read moreGreat place at some historic palazzo. It also have a museum that you can see. Could not really understand what is the idea, but never mind. The food was delicious. I ordered ricotta ravioli in pork sauce and it was surely one of the best dishes I've ever eaten in Italy. However the service is not very good. I was dining alone while next to me there was a table with a very big group. And of course the staff gave all their attention exclusively to them. He asked me which water to bring, I replied sparkling, but he brought still. Aftet the dish he asked me if I wanted a dessert, I replied yes, but he never got to me back. When you want to pay you have to go to a cashier and wait there... So, despite the excellent food and great ambience, I give 4 stars for inattentive and indifferent service. I mean, just a smile and a single friendly word could give me a much...

My wife and I recently visited Sicily along with our 18 month old son, and we took a day trip to Noto. We found this small restaurant on a cute side street and sat down for lunch. The staff was immediately very accommodating, offering us a high chair for our toddler.
We split a few dishes including the eggplant starter, the ravioli con sugo, and the pasta pomodoro. Everything was delicious - perfectly cooked, freshly made pasta, delicious eggplant, even the house bread was excellent. We finished it off with a bottle of white wine and left feeling exceptionally satisfied. I'll be thinking about this meal for...
