Trattoria Moderna da pupo — Restaurant in Orosei

We tried Trattoria Moderna da Pupo and had a fantastic experience!

The food was exceptional – the tuna tataki with sesame, served on a silky cream of potatoes with saffron and mixed salad, was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The linguine with lobster was fresh, rich, and cooked to perfection. Portions are generous, with a clear focus on both quality and presentation.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Pupo, the head chef – an absolutely fantastic guy whose passion for cooking truly shines through in every dish.

They offer a well-curated wine selection that pairs beautifully with the menu. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed yet refined dinner.

Everything felt carefully crafted and authentic – highly recommend for anyone looking for top-quality seafood and a truly memorable...

Just the most awful experience you can have before even getting the „privilege“ to order…absolutely inexcusable behavior of a waitress this evening!

Even if your food MIGHT be worth a visit, unqualified personnel in terms of simple manners, kills every second elaborating what kind of recommendation is justified…certainly not a star without a minus.

We went to two alternatives and thank god, the world is still normal and enjoyable in Orosei elsewhere :)

P.S. Thank you for your customer friendly answer in Italian. I think we have a different understanding of politeness...

Awful hospitality. Very unfriendly waitress from October 8th, evening shift.

Please purchase “reserved” signs for your tables and educate your staff how to treat clients.

Such attitude would turn everyone away from your restaurant even if the food is good.

P.S. I see some comments say you work “without reservation” - very interesting. Completely the opposite what your “amazing” staff told us! Considering how awful you answer to critics rather than change something, probably no reviews will help improve...
