I'm usually too lazy to write reviews but this one's more than worth it. This is my 6th visit to Italy over the past decade, and the best pasta I've had in this country might just be right here. I have no idea how this restaurant, which is dedicated solely to pasta dishes, isn't more famous. The chef, Luca, is a genius ('Il Maestro') and everyone who served us- Alessio, Giovanni and Angelo- was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Added bonus: they also spoke great English. Regardless of whether you're staying overnight in Ostuni or are looking to have lunch on a day trip, do yourself a favor and treat yourself here. Absolutely delicious pasta, honest prices, genuine service, and a great location. We stumbled upon this place for lunch and tried two of their dishes, and even as avid seafood and meat lovers, we were hard pressed to choose between their (vegetarian) gnocchi and their seafood pasta (Paccheri Frutti Di Mare). Both very different from each other but equally impressive. In fact, despite feeling lazy and not having any space in our tummies for dinner, we still dragged ourselves back here for one final round. Chose a dish and preparation we had been having in Puglia over the past week (Orichiette) and ended up being so glad that we took the trouble to go back. They were on the verge of closing and were still gracious enough to accommodate us. One last thing. They serve their food on paper plates and bowls, but please, for your own sake, don't let that put you off. The food is the hero here, and you pay upfront. No cover charges, no frills. Just amazing food made and served by great people in a great location. Luca, Alessio, Giovanni e Angelo- Grazie mille ragazzi!

The pasta was maybe the best I had in Italy and I had a lot of pasta…if you aren’t sure what you’re ordering just tell the chef what you want. He’s friendly and his hands are made of gold. I’m in Polignano right now on vacation and only have today left in Puglia and considering going there just for the pasta - don’t listen to the negative reviews. There’s no atmosphere except for ostuni town which is adorable…it’s a to go place; don’t expect anything fancy but trust me, the food is effing GOOD - I personally got a simple orrichiette with a spicy tomato sauce and parmesan cheese on top and it was crack I went backs he next day for more to take to the beach with me - did not disappoint t after being in the car over an hour in the to go container 😜

Even if the prices are not high, they are still on the higher side considering the portion sizes, which are really really small. What's more is that meal is served in plastic plates, as if you are on a picnic! They also didn't taste so different than any other place you would eat at in Italy or in Puglia overall. So, nothing extra also on this point. The only good thing about this place is its location. Except for this one there is unfortunately nothing I can say good about this place. My one and only regret in Puglia so far.

Overall we had a very negative experience here. We ordered and were then shown to a table which was cramped and dirty. We waited half an hour before asking where our food was, as others who arrived after us getting their food before us. We were told it was coming next. After 10 more mins, more food came out that was for someone else who arrived after us. So, my partner went back in to ask where our food was, in case they had forgotten it. He was immediately met with hostility from the chef, snapping that “this isn’t McDonald’s”, and making a yapping motion at him with his hand. My partner explained we were happy to wait for food, but just wanted to know why others had been served first and that we would have have appreciated knowing the wait time when we ordered. But he was just met with more hostility. The waiter also started laughing at us during the exchange which was inexcusable and immature. When the food eventually came it was very good, though inconsistent in size as one of our portions was really small. But, no amount of good food makes up for staff being so excessively rude. They clearly don’t value their paying customers at all, so I’d advise everyone to spend their...
