I very rarely feel so disappointed to share publicly my disappointment, but this establishment let their customer down this evening. We were warmly but too hastily asked to choose from the menu. Up till this evening we were always offered the typical starter to be shared between us, as being enough for two. We discovered at the bill that they charged double, 20 euros but the quantity was the same as we have previously had for half the price. There was a rather unruly table of a dozen 12/13 year olds, unsupervised by adults, who finally at the end of the meal turned up with a birthday cake. It was like a Macdonalds birthday party, completely incongruous with the setting. The waiters seemed ineffectual and we had to twice ask the children to stop shouting and to turn down the sound of their mobile games! Very annoying. I love this place and always come here when I’m in Ostuni. The cave like atmosphere takes you to another era. My girlfriend and I had a great evening here last time I came. The potato croquets are wonderful - you can taste the mint. My other favorite dishes include pasta with muscles, frutte dal mare, fava and chicory, grilled fish and friend calamari. The pizza is the real deal and not overdone. Love the one with anchovies - they add them like a bit of salt. Wine choices are solid and cost effective. Una stella perché permettono ai cani di entrare. Siamo venuti nel 2021. Arriviamo all’ingresso ci accoglie una signora, gentile a dire il vero e anche simpatica, che prima di farci entrare ci chiede il greenpass, non ho fatto nemmeno in tempo a prenderlo, che un signore, ipotetico proprietario, dice si sì ce li hanno entrare. Il locale all’interno è molto caratteristico. Ci sediamo e ci portano Acqua naturale di rubinetto al modico costo di 3€ a bottiglia. L’antipasto senza lode e senza infamia, capocollo e burrata e polpettine di verdure dove si sentiva solo la menta. I primi non si potevano mangiare: cavatelli con frutti di mare, dove i cavatelli annegavano in un acquetta non bene definita, sciapi e con frutti di mare congelati che nemmeno al polo nord; sono ad Ostuni vicino al mare e da un piatto da 12 € mi aspetto che almeno il pesce sia fresco. L’altro primo era una pasta verde annegata in un liquido rosso con panna, che manco gli americani, e funghi. Il pezzo forte è il vino, ordiniamo due calici di vino ci arriva un vino che sa di aceto una roba che non si può bere, tanto è vero che il mio ragazzo se l’è versato addosso e nessuno si è preoccupato di venire a pulire a terra o togliere i piatti che si erano sporcati ; hanno tolto i piatti dopo un quarto d’ora poiché hanno portato il primo. All’uscita quando siamo andati a pagare, 47€ per mangiare malissimo, alle mie spalle c’era uno stanzino alla vista di tutti con le lattine di vino in plastica tutte sporche, nere e piene di polvere e alla rinfusa poggiate a terra e su varie altre cose secchi e vari attrezzi per lavare a terra . Dulcis in fundo il servizio inesistente, il proprietario di una scortesia allucinante, li abbiamo dovuti chiamare 3/4 volte per ordinare e nessuno si è mai degnato...
