Last week my friends and I visited this marvelous restaurant due to our visit in Ostuni. I just have found it due to google.
Honestly its difficult to share the impressions in "text" because you have to make the experience by your own. First I was a little wondering because the menu was so tiny, but we all have found the best food ever since.
The menu was designed by themselves with a wonderful painting and the selection of the food in the menu is just stunning. There is a big point more quality than quantity.
The interior of the restaurant is authentic and very stylish in a typical Italian way, I loved that so much.
Now to the food, its absolutely stunning and without any doubt the best I have eaten ever since. With all the details and precise selection of the components its not possible to write it down anyhow, you have to experience it by your own.
Furthermore the service from the restaurant was extraordinary, I think it was the wife of the chef who was really so kind an professional in any way, also the chef asked if everything is fine and we all were like speechless of the food and service.
If you don't visit this restaurant you will definitely make an error. Go there and experience the extraordinary.
See you again...
Read moreVery small restaurant recommended in the Michelin guide, there are only 4/5 tables depending on the set up. I was very excited about it and when we arrived we were surprised with how small and intimate it is, the atmosphere is definitely a 5/5. We decided not to go for the tasting menu and ordered a starter and main each. Still, they serve 4 amuse bouche before (savory) and after (sweet) the food, they were good (we really enjoyed the zucchini sandwich) but not too creative. The starters were quite disappointing, we had three different starters ordered and they weren't great: my sheep tartar had practically no seasoning and only a small bit of sauce on the plate, one other had the egg that just tasted like cheese, the cauliflower was just ok, but for this type of restaurant and price range you expect something that will positively be in your mind for a long time. The mains were better in fact, but at that point we needed something out-of-this-world-good and it didn't achieve that (I had the pig with prawns, two - the portion was tiny, the pig was delicious but I still don't understand the praw in that dish). Giving it 3 starts as the most important - the food - was just ok in all my group's opinion and not...
Read moreI really wanted to like this restaurant after all the excellent reviews read. But sadly not. The food was terrible and overpriced. The service was cold and unfriendly and the lighting was so bad I had to sit in a particular position to make sure it didn’t shine brightly in my mother’s eyes! I paid far too much for a dish of frozen gnocchi which were served in a bland, slimy green sauce, billed as gnocchi with courgettes... and our starter of is hard to describe. Some purple chopped veg of some kind and a croquette that looked like a soft egg yolk when we cut it and tasted of nothing at all... this food puts the amazing food of Puglia to shame. I have never eaten such tasteless rubbish. The waitress didn’t even know what the asterisk next to almost every dish meant when I asked her. As it turns out it designates frozen food. Some of it frozen in house the chef informed us. And it would seem almost every dish had some frozen ingredient. And all the fish dishes did. Yuk. Keep away!...
