Lovely Italian trattoria with solid down-home cooking! They have a beautiful, green and very spacious shaded indoor courtyard. There are 5-6 tortoise roaming around freely, a great pleasure for the kids.

The service was polite, efficient and the dishes were served in a timely fashion. The food was tasty and honest. The spinach tarts with Parmesan cream were light, airy and just melted in the mouth. The handmade bigoli with aubergines were perfectly al dente, and the tomato sauce was flavorful. The Guinea fowl was fall of the bone tender, and the sweet and sour raisin and pine-nut sauce was a delicious combination.

All in all, a great place in the center if Padova to enjoy generous, honest...

This is a restaurant we never miss when we visit Padova. It's a family-run establishment where the owner, who doesn't speak English, warmly welcomes every guest, personally taking orders and making recommendations despite the language barrier.

In the summer, they fire up outdoor grills, specializing in barbecued steak and sausages. Even in winter, when there's no grilling, there's still a wide selection of main courses like lamb chops, lamb shanks, and roast chicken. Their pasta is also excellent. Der Kellner war höflich, nur die Kollegin hat uns wenn möglich gekonnt ignoriert. Ich hatte das Rinderfilet (gute Qualität) und mein Freund das Roastbeef. Beides zwar gut aber lieblos. Das Roastbeef war mit Feldsalat und Parmesan Raspel. Und dadurch eine leider etwas trockene Angelegenheit. Mit einem schönen Dip dazu, könnte man es ohne viel Aufwand aufpeppen. Das Filet war mit Bratkartoffeln und gebratene Polenta. Da geht mir ein wenig Gemüse ab. Ich brauch nicht 2 Sättigungsbeilagen. Wir haben auch bemerkt, dass Stammgäste sehr herzlich begrüßt und umsorgt und wir als Fremde eher als Gäste 2ter Klasse behandelt wurden. Da ich selbst aus der Gastro stamme, verstehe ich, dass Stammgäste einen anderen Stand haben. Aber ich darf deshalb fremde Gäste nicht schlechter stellen und behandeln. Am Ende ist mir ein bodenständiges Lokal mit ehrlicher und herzlicher Behandlung lieber als ein gehobenes Lokal, indem ich mich als Fremdkörper fühle. Dafür ist es zu teuer.
