We went off the beaten path a bit to find this place because it came highly recommended. Right as you enter, you'll hit a mob, so be sure to take a number from the machine as soon as you get in because it's turn-based. The good news is that the mob is mostly locals, so you know it's a solid pasticceria. We got a couple of the local delicacies and some coffees and sat inside while we snacked on them. The inside seating is a little hectic, so I'd recommend outside if the weather permits and it's not too crowded. The desserts were of course fantastic (and suuuper sweet, which I like), and the coffees were much needed. You should definitely stop in if you have time for a quick(ish, due to the line) treat.

A must place when visiting Palermo. Mainly visited with locals. You can find here the Palermitan cake Torta Setteveli - the seven layer cake. And many other Sicilian pastry and good ice-cream. Service is very friendly, prices are decent. It is a bit tricky to find, make sure you arrive to the right place since there is another place close to it on the Corso Calatifimi street with a similar name, but it is not the one, just a fake - be careful.

Great bakery with a wide variety of cakes and desserts. For some they have two sizes so you can try if you like them. One has to try a wide variety to hone in on the ones you like. I personally liked the Setteveli (chocolate one), cortina cake, baba panna, and on Sundays they have a canoli variant made with a very crispy shell shaped like a croissant - highly recommend.

Went here last week and thought it was incredible. I did not, however, consider how the tart would haunt me. This is one of the best things I have eaten and I’ve thought about it every day. I am so upset that it is just a memory now and it is criminal that I have to return to the United States not knowing when I can have it again. Thank you so much.

I still insist a Sicily trip without a bite of desert from Pasticceria Capello is incomplete. We visited the store twice during our 8 day trip in Sicily, Strongly recommend the mousse cake, Cassata, Pistachio cake, and of course the Cannolo(outside Italy, it was called Cannoli), the gelato is so good, don't forget to try the granite too.

Pasticceria Cappello is truly the best sweet shop in Palermo. The quality of their baked goods is outstanding, and I absolutely love it. Every time I stay in Palermo, this place makes me fall in love with the city even more. I ended up going there every day to enjoy their delicious cakes and pastries. Highly recommended!
