Zibò Bistrò — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

Took agessssss to get the food. Like an hour. Food was average. Extremely tiny portions. Decided to refine my review and elaborate after the “business” replied. The food unequivocally took more than 20 minutes. I don’t know why I would ever think to lie about the wait time; it’s not like I can get my time back. It was from 45 to 50 minutes and there are people on here complaining about the wait time too if you wanna corroborate my experience. Second of all, we ordered 4 dishes and a salad. One pasta for myself, one for my mother, a fish dish for my father, a burger for my younger brother, and my sister ordered a salad as she didn’t like anything from their menu as they didn’t have that much range. Each person had their own dish except my 6 year old sister which the owner made seem like a crime that she shared with me. Even if she had not had a taste from my dish the portions would still be tiny. Like two big tablespoons worth of spaghetti. Again you can either take it or leave it; I am simply giving feedback not attacking as there is absolutely nothing I can gain from this (please keep that in mind). You could argue that they are “italian portions” but I’ve been to 4 different cities in Italy for the past 10 days and have had two meals in two restaurants daily and have never seen such portions. Also the way the owner phrased the dishes and sharing made me feel like we were sat in a hostile watchful environment rather than a warm and welcoming one. Like they were watching and judging. Next, I would just advise the business to not get so offended by my review and give a snarky highschool reply rather than accept feedback and make the customer feel heard. There is also the fact that they don’t often reply to reviews unless they are 5 stars; which is very unhealthy coming from a business student. Or maybe they felt particularly disrespected because we were wearing hijabs. In that case well.. you should hide your islamophobia better and get educated. Oh I also wanted to mention that they have a 2€ coperto per person. This is completely justifiable if we were sat outiside in venice. But inside, in a hotel located in a dead town; it didn’t make much sense; but maybe it was because we were in a hotel and not a restaurant; again not complaining just notifying. I would advise the owner to look up how to respond to negative feedback and to learn to respond like a professional business whereby you can defend yourself whilst being responsive to your customers and making them feel heard. Ate here twice as a guest at the Ziba hotel during my first holiday in Italy. The food is very very good, with friendly and attentive service from the staff and in a very beautiful setting. It’s an incredibly relaxing environment and the staff go out of their way to help you truly experience the local culture and food!
