A group of 12 women were let down at a established restaurant in Pompeii at the very last moment and I had to find a spot that would fit the bill for a 50th Birthday celebration dinner. I was looking for something special and stumbled across a few reviews across various social media platforms about a quaint spot by the name of Guilias.
Upon on enquiring a prompt response and the warmth of help with the menu options for such a large group of women with varying dietary requirements convinced me to book immediately.
At arrival I was greeted by both the owners Vincenzo and Guiliano who guided us to our seats. The venue - beautiful, cosy but modern. The food - impeccable, as mentioned before we had different people who had different dietary requirements which in a normal setting would be difficult to manage but both gentleman checked with the chef and were accommodating with our requests, even going beyond what was asked. The service - 11/10 we were cared for as if we were dining at home with family, attention to detail with empty glasses, questions of comfort and going the extra mile to make the celebration complete. If youre coming from out of town, don't hesitate to have a meal a Guilias' - you will not be disappointed! There is hope to return at some point. Thank you both for making our dinner an unforgettable one (even with the little mishap at the end of the night outside the...
Read moreI celebrated my birthday here with a group of friends, and it was the best choice for the occasion. The atmosphere was inviting, and the location made it even more special. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and well taken care of.
We enjoyed a selection of seafood, raw fish, and seafood risotto, everything was full of flavour, high quality and beautifully presented. My favourites were definitely the Oysters and Tuna Tartare!
Vincenzo took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening, and Sommelier Giuliano’s wine pairings were perfect. The whole experience was unforgettable, and I can’t wait to...
Read moreThis is my second time in the area, and it’s really nice to finally find a spot that cares about how the food tastes. They have homemade digestives (including limoncello) that are really good (not the super sugary, watered down stuff you get at tourist traps). Portions are small, but they are very tasty, creative, and still cheaper than my usual date-night meal in NYC—it’s worth it. It’s a vibe as far as atmosphere goes. The service is INCREDIBLE. Highlights included deconstructed tiramisu, tuna tartar with refreshing cherry-tomatoes to balance the taste, and a buttery soft catch of the day. Truly a credit to Pompeii’s restaurant...
