I am leaving this review because I had the most awful experience here and I wish it had not gone this way. I hope that the restaurant can learn from this and grow.
I want to start by saying that the waiter did make things right and took away the food I did not touch.
After a long 48 hours of travel to get to Italy, our first stop was Pompeii. Exhausted, we just wanted something to eat and stumbled across this beautiful restaurant. The whole aesthetic was gorgeous and, honestly, as a foodie myself, I just knew this would be the place that would welcome me to this beautiful country.
I was WRONG. I didn't get a photo, but my friend did. This is how my sandwich came out. Not only was the presentation disappointing for such a beautifully rated place, but most of the chicken was raw in the middle. After letting the server know, he failed to agree until I pulled out a piece from the middle to show him. At this point I was over it and not going to order something new. I did not take one bite out of this meal and I settled for airplane snacks.
I'm not sure who the cook was on June 10th and prepared that meal, but they need to be let go. Please take this item off your menu and replace with something that can be cooked fully through before others go through this same situation. We also had to fight for attention to be waited on with hardly anyone in there. Maybe an off day? Not sure,...
Read moreA great experience in a gorgeous setting with very friendly and attentive staff. We had a few plates to share, including a couple of pizzas (get some too - they're great, Napoli one is full of tomatoes and anchovies!), and the food was perfect, from starters to dessert. As you enter the courtyard and then the building itself - the restaurant looks "expensive", while in reality I've expected a bigger bill at the end, given the proximity to the main attraction of the city and the quality of the restaurant and food. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, ready to answer any questions. Sara was our waitress that night (apologies if I misheard your name), and it was a great experience all along: helpful advice, quick and attentive service, a warm smile, some attention to our kid, etc. The cocktails are just fantastic: try their own creations or order your favourite classic - you won't be disappointed either way. I've had their own one, mezcal-based, and it was a fantastic whirlwind of taste!
It's the best place we had eaten at...
Read moreI did not have the best experience here. We booked a table for lunch, and when we arrived we have been told that the restaurant was booked for event. Interesting. They checked the booking system to realize we actually did have a booking - that didn’t feel very welcoming.
Then the pizza weren’t available which reduced the menu considerably.
The highlight of the lunch was the bread and nice olive oil that was served at the beginning of the meal. Really nice.
I had a nice pasta, which was a bit small for the price and not anything special.
It started pouring rain on the terrace so we had to go inside but the waiter said he didn’t have tables for us to sit even though the room was half full. Luckily we were done with food but again, a bit rude and...
