I just had a very bad experience in this restaurant, since as a birthday present, my partner decided to surprise me on my trip through Europe in Italy, he came from 2 months traveling through Asia ( I said this because I want to be clear that $ has not being an issue for us to be well nourished as we travel ) And we have been trying the most delicious food in our time on Naples, only before entering the ruins of Pompeii, I wanted to eat something and we decided to choose this restaurant, even though it is a 10 minute walk from the ruins, only because it had 4.5 stars.
So I thought it would be ( unnecessarily ) mentioned that my partner had being snackish at Vesuvius and told me that he was not hungry. So I chose a menu where they give you three different dishes, it specifically says that it is only for one person, which seems fine to me, but when it was time to give us the food since we have been trying different delicious foods throughout Naples, I gave my partner a taste of my dish, just - Because - so the waitress came very angry to tell me that I could not give him from my food, because is only for one person! .
And that they were watching us through the camera and that it was going to get her in trouble. If I kept giving him from my food, I felt like a scolded child and very uncomfortable at that moment being watched by the cameras, while eating, so I asked her to put the food to take away to which she refused and said that I had to eat there inside the restaurant, because I couldn't take the food away, both of us were very uncomfortable, so we decided to leave the place and at the entrance was the owner or manager of the restaurant, who started yelling at my partner that we had to pay, then my partner said that he was not going to pay for a meal that they had not delivered to us, so here I have several of the Videos where, he said that he was going to call the police and my partner said that it was okay for him, to call the police. ( I take a sit to wait, and feel very Karen at the moment, I know! )
Then he act like call the police, but stop and change his actitud to more calm and try us to stay and eat there because there is NO “ take away “ I will not stay there anyways, the waitress was very rude yelling in Italian not sure what, and scolding us, so no way!
So they put the food in a pizza box, which makes me think that in the end it's neither the food nor the money, those rules just didn't make sense and they wanted to force us to eat the food in the restaurant, without me being able to give it to my partner?
I understand if it was a buffet where there is unlimited food. It would be ridiculous for me to invite my partner, just to save a few euros, but the reality is that this menu came with specific and limited dishes. So in the end what I decided to do with that food would be my problem, that's why it doesn't make any sense to me, but I guess it doesn't have to make sense because it just happened. ( Maybe are just Italian rules to not share food in the restaurant, I will love to know more. )
I will just take this episode as a part of my birthday memories 🎁
And about the food, I cannot say anything about the taste, my throat and my body were very tense because of the bad time I was...
Read moreIt was a small but lovely restaurant with excellent service and wonderful food. I've forgotten the name of the pasta dish, a carbonara with bacon and ham, but I highly recommend it; it was tasty, creamy, savory, and truly delicious. The steak salad, I believe it was called "Taglia" something (I apologize for not remembering the exact name), was also quite good, with a juicy and tender steak that was easy to eat. The fried chicken bread was delicious as well. I especially loved the unique and beautiful plate decorations. The tiramisu was ok, though not overly sweet. Overall, it offered great food at an affordable price. The parking lot next to the restaurant was large, safe, and...

After finishing our tour of the Pompeii ruins, we were starving and decided to try this restaurant based on its 4.5-star rating. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disaster—we couldn't even finish our meal.
The carbonara was atrocious: the bacon was burnt to the point of tasting like charcoal, and the pasta was nearly raw. How can such a simple dish go so horribly wrong?
To top it off, the ambiance was equally disappointing. It felt like dining in a dark, uninviting cave. We were shocked that this place had such high reviews.
It was a complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and...
